Lena's: POV
We were happily enjoying ourselves while the turkey's were in the oven cooking. Sharon was busy doing something on the desk top computer
We danced to the Christmas music that was playing on the radio, then Stef went out to the garage to bring in the Christmas tree. I went to take a peek in the oven to see how the food was coming along, the Mac and cheese. Was looking nice and fluffy
I decided to leave in a little longer
I wanted it to be a light brown, before taking it out, l checked to see how the string beans and sweet potatoes were coming along. I stuck a fork in the Candie yams, they still felt kinda hard
So I let them to continue to cook. Stef comes back up stairs carrying a large box, l already had taken out the container of new decorations and garland. Baby do you know where my eye glasses are Stef asks me, l believe they are up in the home office on the third floor. Lena responds, l guess l'm gonna have to go get them so l can read the directions on how to put this eight foot up, the box makes it look simple to assemble. But you never know, about these types of things
Stef says as she goes upstairs. I head to the living room to see what Sharon's up to, Sharon you've been awfully quiet over here Lena States
I'm fine darling. I'm just shopping online, for baby stuff for my granddaughters in case l'm not here for when you come home from the hospital. I just wanna get a jump start on everything, so far l've shopped on three different sites that had newborn clothes. I went on children's place
Carter's, babies R Us and jamboree kids. Sharon listed stores she visited
Thank you Sharon l really appreciate it, I haven't really started buying anything. I know Stef's probably beat me to the punch, where gonna have to purchase two of everything. I saw this twin stroller l recently ordered from Amazon, it was two hundred & fifty dollars their was three in stock so I ordered it. Lena said to her mother in law, they didn't have these types of stuff when I was pregnant with Stephanie, just remember l'm here for the both of you. l think of you as my daughter, not daughter in law. Stefanie told me a little about how your mom abandoned you when you were only eleven Sharon says to me
Lena wasn't sure how she felt about her wife discussing her personal business. Oh Sharon that was so long ago, l don't even think about my mother. Margaret has been more than a mom to me that Dana has if l'm being honest, it still a touchy subject for me. So could you not mention her again, Lena tries to keep temper in check. It's not Sharon's fault her mother chose to leave all those years ago, Stef knew she was wrong for betraying Lena's trust. I found my glasses, Stef shouts out from the living room. I'm sorry sweetheart for mentioning it, don't be mad at Stephanie. She was just concerned honey, Sharon responds. I need some air Lena says as she walks out the back that was open. Mom why couldn't you just leave well enough alone, l told you that in the strictest confidence. Now I have to go calm Lena down, Stef replied. I didn't think she would respond like that. I feel terrible for bringing it up, it was never my intention to caused any harm.
