Kwon Boram's POV
"You're so good at this," I praised him after watching him go down the hill of snow with the ski gracefully.
"Years of practice." He winked at me.
The snow storm was just about to begin and it was perfect timing because Jin had already gone down. It also made us conclude our skiing date so we went back to the cabin and gave the equipment back to them.
As Jin drove us back home, he told me, "The company is having a ball-themed year-end thanksgiving party this week. I'd like to take you there as my date."
"But I have nothing to wear," I told him immediately.
"I know. We're going shopping today and don't worry, the expenses will be on me since I didn't inform you immediately to prepare for it."
I nodded. "Okay. If you insist. But where's it going to be held?"
"In my cousin's hotel."
"Oh," I exclaimed and gave him a knowing smirk, making both of us laugh in an understanding of what was running in my head.
"You're naughty," he said.
He brought us to a boutique of long gowns and dresses. As we entered the store, the gown worn by the mannequin captured me immediately.
It was a pink sparkly gown with a heart-shaped neckline. It is body-con but has a slit on the right side.
"Love, I want this," I told him while caressing the gown with my hands. I look over at him, "I want this," I repeated.
He nodded. "It looks beautiful. I think it will suit you."
"Jin!" A female voice excitedly called his name, making us look behind the mannequin where it came from.
A petite female was going towards us, and I caught Jin smiling brightly at her. I began to wonder who she is.
I almost gasped when they hugged each other and the woman gave Jin a kiss on the cheek. As they pulled away, the woman noticed me. "Uhm, who's this?" She asked Jin.
"Oh, Jennie, this is Boram, my girlfriend. Love, this is Jennie, my cousin."
Oh, cousin.
I politely smiled at her and slightly bowed as a greeting. "Hello. Nice to meet you, Jennie."
She chuckled. "Nice to meet you, Boram. I'm assuming you came here to buy her a dress for the party?" She asked Jin.
"Yes. She'd like to have this dress. Do you have it in her size?"
"Ooh, unfortunately, that's just one dress. But she can try it on and let's see what we can do from there." She looked at me again. "Nice choice, by the way. And don't worry, it's a newly made dress and hasn't been on the mannequin for long so it's still clean."
She called staff to help her take the dress, then she assisted me in their fitting room.
"I didn't know my cousin is already dating again," she said while we walked side by side and Jin behind us. "Just so you know, our whole family will be there at the party too."
She carefully gave me the gown once I was already inside the fitting room. Jin sat down on the couch in front of it.
"Let me know if you need help," Jennie said before closing the curtains.
It's a good thing establishments have heaters with them because the snowstorm outside makes it really cold. The temperature right now inside the store is a little bit cold but it's manageable that I could go bare to try on this gown
