⚠️Trigger Warning: Death.⚠️

"Good luck on your first day," I said after pulling over in front of the hotel.
When Taehyung found out that Boram was currently searching for a part-time job, he immediately hired her because they were currently short-staffed in the hotel's restaurant. Boram didn't want to accept it at first but Jennie and I convinced her to grab the opportunity. After all, it's just going to be during the summertime.
Boram smiled but I could tell that she was nervous. "Thank you for dropping me off. But, maybe we shouldn't do this next time. I don't want people questioning how I am related to the owners of this place."
I nodded. "Okay. I understand. Just let me know when you get home."
"Mmm-hmm. Thanks again, Love. You're the best." She leaned closer to me and gave me a quick peck on the lips. She got out of the car and then went inside to start her day at her new job.
It's been two days since we got back from Jeju. It was a fun experience, and I could tell that Boram enjoyed herself more this time than when we first came there because she was with her loved ones.
My agenda for today is to visit my mother again in the hospital. Since I found out about her condition, it's been my weekly plan to visit her at least three times a week so we could spend as much time as we could together.
The sight of her may summon the regrets of me from the past and I wish to have more time with her, but I try to look at the present and forward rather than back to make the most out of the time that I have left to be with her.
I have adjusted and quite frankly have also accepted the fact that she is on her deathbed. The reality of it crushes my heart, but thinking of how helpless we are will only make me feel more helpless. I look at the side that at least, before her last breath, we have reconciled and I still have been a good son to her - at least, I think.
I pulled over in front of the flower shop where I always buy my mom's bouquet of red roses. She may not remember liking them, but I could see the slight glow on her face whenever I arrive there with it.
"The usual?" The owner asked. I nodded, then she began to quickly make the bouquet.
"Your mother is so lucky to have such a sweet boy like you," she said, handling the newly-made bouquet.
I could only give her a smile because I didn't know what to say. I don't even know if I've really been a good son because I barely spent time with her and avoided seeing her back then because of my hatred.
As I walked my way back to my car, with the red roses now in my hand, I sighed.
It doesn't matter. What matters is today, tomorrow, and so on.
I arrived at the hospital and the elevator ride to the floor of the room that shelters my mother felt like an eternity. My steps were light. I was delighted to meet the woman that brought me into this world again I'm sure I had a small smile on my face as I left the elevator and turned left in the hallway.
However, as I turned, there were noises that I couldn't point out where they were from. Yet as I was near my mother's room, it was louder and louder until I found her opened doors when I was only a few meters away.
