(Y/n) walked the lonely road to the grocery store, lost in thoughts of happier times. Times when her mother cooked breakfast and woke her up for school. Times when she would come downstairs to see her father drinking coffee and teasing her mother at the kitchen table. But times like those were long gone.
No use dwelling on the past now, (Y/n) scolded herself. She shook her head absently and picked up her pace.

The (h/c) girl carefully looked over the bananas, meticulously checking for bruises and rotten spots. There was nothing she hated more than an impure banana. Finally deciding on a bunch, she placed it into her basket and moved on to the cereals.
Looking over the cheapest brands to save the little spending money she had, (Y/n) heard a ruckus coming from the aisle next to hers. She froze as she recognized the voices.
"Dude, c'mon, how're you so stupid, you stupid idiot! The cool ranch Doritos are so much BETTER than the nacho cheese ones. This is BASIC."
"Leo, I'm not gonna fucking argue with you today. Get the fucking cool ranch Doritos, too, I don't give a fuck."
"Thank youuuuuuu!"
It sounded like Leo and... Ray!
Shit. SHIT.
The last people she wanted to run into. She glanced frantically around, deciding to exit the aisle from the opposite side, hoping to avoid the notice of the boys. As she began to fast-walk toward her escape route, she heard the dreaded words:
"Hey... hey! (Y/nnnnnnnn)!"
It came from the left. She looked towards the sound and found two mischievous grey eyes peering at her through a gap in the shelves.
"Wait right there, one sec", the childish blonde told her and left his post. Sure enough, one second later, Leo appeared, rushing around the corner to join her. "Hey, (N/n)!"
"(N/n)?" She stared at him, unimpressed.
"Y-yeah..." He blushed, ducking his head, and looked up with his best puppy dog eyes. "Is it okay if I c-call you that...? O-only sometimes I PROMISE!"
"Yeah, sure, whatever", (Y/n) sighed and turned away.
"Sooo, what're you here for, (N/n)?"
"Hm, what would I be doing in a grocery store", (Y/n) said, sarcastically. "Oh, I know, I was just shopping for a new brain. I know someone who could use it."
"Well I don't know about a brain, but if you're interested in hearts... You can have mine if you want~", Leo slyly replied. (Y/n) rolled her eyes. (I hate myself)
"(Y/n)", Leo sternly said. "Drop the attitude."
She looked at him shocked. This was the first time she had heard Leo being serious. Perhaps she had been too standoffish to him.
"Sorry, Leo, I guess I was being a little rude. You just caught me at a bad time."
"Drop the formalities, just call me prince charming~"
He's back to normal now...
"Leo, where the fuck did you go?" Simultaneously, they both turned toward the sound of Ray's approaching voice. He didn't waste any time scolding Leo for wandering off.
"My GOD, Leo, you're such a brat, get your ass over here and let's go home already-" He broke off, finally realizing the presence of the (e/c) girl. He groaned. "Not this again..."
(Y/n) was thinking the same thing.
"Why, hello there, Mr. Hart", she said coolly.
"Why, hello there, doll", he replied without enthusiasm. Leo looked between the two of them. 'Doll?' Why did he suddenly feel jealousy welling up inside of him?
