chapter 13~ unlucky

(E/c) orbs slowly opened to find a limited view in front of them. Their owner gently moved her head from side to side, slowly digesting the information given to her from her present surroundings. To her right was a boy with red hair who appeared to be asleep, his mouth slightly open in an 'o' shape. To her left was a boy with white hair staring out the window with earbuds in. She seemed to be wedged in between the two. In front of her were two more males sitting in the front seats. One had black hair, while the other had blue. None of them had noticed her woken state. 

There was a slight jolt and the girl was suddenly aware that they were moving. She glanced ahead at the steering wheel in the ravenette's hands.

A car... When did I get into a car...?

(Y/n) drowsily tried to recall the previous events leading up to her current situation, but, try as she might, she could not remember what had happened.

The girl groggily shifted into a more comfortable position, alerting the driver to her state. He glanced at her in his mirror. The bluenette also noticed, twisting to face her. 

"Have a nice nap, angel~?" He faced the front once more, reaching his hand back to lightly rest on her knee. 

At his touch, her memories came flooding back. She began to panic, her breathing speeding up. As her chest heaved in distress, the white-haired male next to her noticed and quickly removed his listening device. 

"(Y/n)! Are you okay??"

Brayden turned again. "Shit, she's getting herself too worked up. Calm her down, Mason!"

The addressed boy fumbled in a seat pocket, searching for something. He pulled out a simple paper bag and forced it into the hyperventilating girls' hands. 

"Hold that to your mouth and breath into it. Now, (Y/n)!"

She did as she was told, calming herself down within a few minutes. When at last did her breathing return to a normal pace, she put the bag down. The noise had awoken Tobias, who rubbed his eyes and yawned. 

"I miss somethin'...?" He asked tiredly. Mason stared back, unimpressed. 

"Can I do anything for you, (Y/n)? Do you need water? Snacks?"

The girl stiffly shook her head. (Y/n) recognized that she was at a disadvantage in her position. She felt enclosed, not only by the vehicle but also by the boys who surrounded her. What could she do, but sit there?

Boys. That reminded her of the absence of one. 

"Where's Leo?"

"He was being an annoying fuck, so we threw him in the back", Ray answered dismissively. (Y/n) looked behind her to see Leo stretched out in the trunk, fast asleep. Because both Tobias and Leo had been or were napping, the girl thought it safe to assume that they had been in the car awhile. 

"Where are you taking me?" She questioned, carefully choosing her words. 

"To your new home", Tobias happily announced. "After your stunt with the window last night, we decided on moving you to a safer location. We picked Leo's house for the time being. You'll like it there, he's super rich!"

(Y/n) focused her eyes elsewhere from the yammering redhead. She felt disgust bubbling up in her throat and also a slight bewilderment. Her jump from the window had only been last night? That seemed ages ago...

"MY MOM!" She shot up in her seat. "WE HAVE TO GO BACK, YOU PSYCHOS!"

"Tell me, doll, do you remember me saying to not insult us like that", Ray inquired, his tone laced with venom and honey.
