Hostpital

*in the the van, on the way to the hostpital*
"So, my mom, i mean, you never died? Well i mean, obviously but-" i started but was cut off by Roxy.
"Ok! Honey, your confused. Get your words right."
"So, how do i know your not some  random chick that my dad knows?"
"Well, i know that you were born on Halloween." She started.
"What year?" I asked.
"2000" she smiled at me turning her head twards me and smiling.
The gang sat in the back, almost completely scilent. I sat in the passanger seat.
"Why is there a sippy cup going up my ass??" I heard Pierce say.
"Language.." the girl said.
"So.. what us your name anyways?" Jay asked.
"Celest, i go by CC" she smiled.
"Why CC?" Pierce asked.
"Celest Cristen Martin" she answered.
Martin. I finally found ny last name. I hate having my dads lastname.
Ciara West Cooper? Ciara West Martin? Yeah, im getting it changed...
"Do u have kids?" I asked her.
"Why do you ask?"
"Well, there is a sippycup going up Pierces a-"
"Language" she stopped me. "And yes, i have two kids after you."
"So i.. i have Siblings?" I asked her.
"Kris and Sam. Kris is 3 and Sam is 5. And your 14" she smiled at me."
"Who has custody of me?" I asked her.
"No one West, we thought you were dead."
I just looked down at my hands without saying anything.
"Explain...?" She asked. She had a sweet voice, it made me feel like i wasnt being cornered or like i was i trouble. I think she does that on purpous.
I didnt say anything and pulled out my phone to text Toby.
Me- can u ask Slender if i can have someone over today?
Toby- i can try. Pay attention in class. Your failing algebra..
Me- I have an A in every other class. And im not in school right now.
After i said that i got a call from Toby.
"Where the hell are you?" He asked.
"Look Toby, im on my to the hostpital. Carter needs us right now and i really dont care about school right now." I said
"Alright, is she ok?" He asked.
"i dont know. What did sle... dad say?"  I stopped myself.
CC gave me a weird look, well. I guess my mom gave me a weird look.
"He wants to know who it is. He wants to talk to you." Toby answered.
"Ok, put him on?"
"Hello, West" u heard slendys voice through the speakers of my cracked phone.
"Hey dad. Um..." i started but was cut off."
"Why arent you in school?" he asked.
"Look. Carter is in the hostpital and that is where we are going." I answered.
"Who is taking you there?" He asked.
"Thats exactly what i want to talk to you about." I took a deep breath preparing to be yelled at.
"I kinda.. ran into my mom." I said honestly.
"WHAT?!?!?" i heard slender yell. i pulled the phone away from my ear as a reaction to how loud he was.
The gang and CC gave me a weird look. I guess they heard slender.
"Look, i wanted to know if she could come over, you know, meet everyone."
"West. This is not ok. Your lucky the Expressionless talked me into letting your friends come over.."
"I know, but.. shes is my mom."
"And she thought you were dead!"
"Yeah, im sure that put a lot of stress on her.."  i said sarcastically avoiding his point.
He grunted.
"Fine. But not another soul. You know the rules, if someone finds out about me and the proxies we are supossed to kill them.. so she better not tell anyone or she might be our next victim." He said.  "I love you West, best of wishes to Carter"
"Thanks Dad, love you too." I said before Toby was back on.
"That sounded like it went well" he said sarcastically.
"It actually did, do u think you can manage making dinner tonight?" I asked him.
"Uhh, sure. But why cant Expressy?" He asked.
"Shes um... working" i answered.
"Oh,ok. What time should it be done?" He asked.
"Umm, 6:30?" I asked.
"Ok, see ya" he said before hanging up.
"Ok, we should be there in about 15 or 20 minuits." CC said as she got off the highway.
Roxy nodded and pulled out her phone, im assuming to text Blaze.
"Hey, CC, are you busy tonight?" I asked.
"I have to pick the kids up from Jenna's, but other than that im pretty sure im free." She said.
"Ok, cool. But uhh, who is Jenna?" I asked.
"My sister, your aunt."
I nodded.
"so all of those times when you were at Derik's house, you were actually seeing me?" I asked.
"Hes your father, you shouldnt call him by his first name, its disrespectful, but yes."
"Are you really going to tell me that its disrespectful to call him by his first name, because there is a very long list of other things i could call him." I said quite agervated.
"It is disrespectful to call your father, aka the man that raised you and took care of you, by is first name."
I scoffed.
"Aka the man that broke 3 of my ribs and my anckle, and several fingers, and tried to kill me on several attemps" i pulled up the sleve on my grey bvb jacket revieling several scars from my father.
I saw tears falling from her eyes.
"Oh my god, im so sorry West, i- i had no idea."
I felt kinda bad", but i didnt let it get to me.
I pulled my sleve back down.
"What hostpital room is Carter in?" I asked Roxy.
"58 on the 4th floor." She answerd.
I nodded and looked over to CC.
"Im sorry, i just kinda.. snapped." I apolajized.
"No, i should be saying sorry to you. I had no idea he was doing this." She kept her eyes on the road.
I didnt say anything and just looked out the window untill we got to the hostpital.
"Do you mind if i go in?" CC asked.
"No! Your not aloud" Roxy shouted jokingly to her as we jumped out of the van.
We all smiled and laughed.
*in the Hostpital room with Carter and Blaze*
"What happend?" Roxy asked the nurse. Blaze was too emotional ti answer questions, so Jay and Pierce were trying to comfort her
"She cut her wrist as an attempt at suicide. We have found traces of several types of sleeping medications, and this was not her first attempt on suicide. There were about 3 scars on her wrist that have come extreamly close to hitting a vein plus several other scars, but not any that were life threightening. This last one did hit the vein, but barlely; she got to the hostpital on time. We did have to give her about 3 stitches in her wrist. There were other cuts on her thighs and abdomen that equald out to 48 stitches." The nurse said.
We were all in tears.
"When can we see her?" I asked, tears falling from my eyes.
"She is not awake yet, but you are welcome to see her now. And dont worry about school,  i will have the desk worker wright you guys a note." She smiled
We all nodded.
"I can only take 2 back at a time. Who would like to go first?" She asked.
"Ill go with Blaze" Roxy said Helping Blaze stand as tried to calm herself
We all sat in the waiting room waiting.
"So, who is Carter?" CC asked.
"Our friend" i answered.
"Did u guys know she was suicidal?" She asked.
"If we did dont you think we would have helped her?" Pierce shot and slouched back down in his chair with his hood on.
"Oh, i- im sorry" CC said looking down.
"look, everyine is just worried and in a bad mood. i have never heard Pierce sound so.." i started.
"Rude." CC said capturing Jays attention.
"Maybe it was rude, but our friend is in the hostpital with about 50 stitches and sleeping pills in her system. Dont you think that maybe were all in a shitty mood because just maybe we feel like we have failed as friends..?" Jay said. He didnt have a perkey lisp that he usually does.
"I see- im sorry." CC said.she is really nice, she just doesnt know when its a good time to talk and when it isnt.

About an hour later Roxy and Blaze come out crying.
The nurse allows Pierce and Jay to go back. They spend about an hour back there, then it was me and Ace.
We followed the nurse back to room 58 and she gave us time with Carter alone.
She had an i-v in ontop of several smaller scars. And stitches on her right arm.
I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. I looked at ace who was obviously holding back tears. Out if instinct i hug him.
It was a long hug.
"We'll all get through this" Ace said hugging me tighter.
His grip made me feel safe, protected. He made me feel safe and protected.
Carter started moving her legs, then her arms.
Me and Ace loosend our grip and ending our hug.
We stood next to her bed.
"Hey, guys. What are you doing here?" She asked.
"Where am i?" She asked again.
"We came to see you. Do you remember what happend?" Ace asked.
"I remember being in my room-" she looked at her wrist and saw the stitched. She began crying.
"Im so sorry." She said
"Ita ok, We"ll all get through this" i said. Ace smiled at me. We hugged Carter and told her that everything will be ok and that were not mad at her.
We went back to the waiting room and sat down, allowing Blaze and Roxy to go in.
"where are their parents?" CC asked.
"Work. Their work is far away." Jay said sleepily.
We were all tired and emotional.
"How are you not having any effect to this?" Pierce asked CC.
"I mean, i get it, you dont know her.. but most people, just seeing people cry and knowing the circumstances, would be crying..?" Pierce said in a serious voice, which he doesnt use often.
"Im a nurse, i work here. Im used to seeing people in an emotional state." She answered.
A nurse. My mom is a nurse. I went from thinking i killed my mom, to finding out she is a nurse all in one day. And she went from thinking her daughter is dead, to meeting her, and wil learn that she is living a completely different life with a different family.. i guess this is confusing for both of us.
