"Q, do you ever just stop and ask yourself why you're even here?"

"Yes I do actually. And apparently I'm only here to drive you around on missions."

Even though it was dark I saw her blue eyes light up. She smiled, but I couldn't tell if she was laughing or not. We were standing beside a fountain, in the middle of a strip mall. Margo threw a coin in and closed her eyes as if she was a little girl.

"What did you wish for?" I knew it was a stupid question because everyone always says "it won't home true if I tell you!" but it was worth the try.

"I wished that this moment could be forever. I wished that you could pause time."

"If I could pause time, I pause every moment that I've spent with you. With you, I feel alive." I could see her smiling, but then she frowned.

"Q, I really, really like you, but right now, it just won't work."

"What won't work?" I could feel my palms getting sweaty. I didn't know what she meant, but I had an idea and the thought of it just made me nervous.

"I mean us, we can't be a couple right now Q, I've just been through two hard relationships. I don't wanna hurt you Q. I'd rather you be my best friend than my boyfriend that I will eventually have to break up with." She said sympathetically.

"Right I ... understand. I'm just gonna go for a ... walk." I didn't know why she felt the need to reject me when I wasn't even trying to start anything, but I have to admit: rejection stung.

"Here, I'll come with you." She offered.

"No, I meant alone."

"Oh... well ... I'll just be right here when you get back."

I wandered off and walked down past all the different stores. Margo was right, the whole relationship thing wasn't gonna work. I tried to think of what I had said to her that would make her say something like that, an indicator that was still in love with her. As far as I know, I hadn't said anything with the exception of the confession last night. But even then I didn't know if I was still in love with her, and I still don't know.

When I got back, Margo had fallen asleep on one of the benches. I decided to do the same. I laid down, closed my eyes and thought of all the things that had happened.

"Q, wake up!" I woke up to the sound of a screaming Margo.

"What? what do you want?" I stretched out and rubbed my eyes. There were groups of people surrounding us.

"Where are we?"

"The mall, we both fell asleep on the benches."

"What!" I exclaimed, I stood up instantly and looked around at all the people. Some were staring, others were not. "Let's get out of here. Maybe you know a place where we can catch a shower?" I asked, knowing it had been days.

"Yeah," she said, "I know a good place."

We got into the car and she directed to go a half-a-mile up the road to a YMCA.

"There's showers here. Just put on the clothes that you are wearing now and we'll go shopping later." I nodded and grabbed the shampoos she was holding out to me out of her hand. After that, we went out separate ways.

Naturally, I was done ten minutes before Margo. When she came out, I noticed that her hair was dry.

"How did you hair dry so fast, mine is still wet and I have shorter hair that you." I asked, but I knew it was a stupid questions she was about to give a snarky answer.

"It's called a blow-dryer, idiot."

Yep, I was right.

"Right.... so where do you want to go next?"

"I have the perfect place in mind, c'mon!"

"The minimall? That's your idea of a great place?" I said, as I stood outside of the dingy place where I had spent hours and hours months ago.

"May I remind you that the official name is 'OSPREY' and yes, I have stuff I need to grab here." she lead me by my hand into the minimall. It was more vacant than before.

"What do you need?" I asked.

"Well, I need this." she grabbed a map, "And this." And she pulled her so red it's almost black nail polish out of one of the drawers.

"Ok let's go."

"What?"
