"Because I've already told you twice, I didn't want to buy more nail polish, so I just thought of the last place I had one."

"It still doesn't make any sense, but ok." I shrugged and kept driving. We were silent for a moment.

"Let's go to California." Margo said, breaking the silence.

"What? No! Are you crazy?" I was not about to haul her all the way to California.

"No, and why not?" She asked, appalled that I had disagreed.

"Do you even know how long of a drive that is, and I have like... no money for gas and we're on E."

"Q, you said you were up for and adventure so, lets go."

"Yeah, but not that big of an adventure, I have commitments."

"Fine." she grumbled, "Can we at least get something to eat I'm STARVING." she said putting emphasis on 'starving.'

"Sure, what do you want?" I asked.

"Hmmm... a peanut butter and jelly sandwich."

"That doesn't sound very exciting." I looked at her.

"I didn't say it would be exciting." she shrugged and I pulled into a gas station. She gave me a look. "Um... last I checked this place doesn't sell PB and J's."

"Ok, well we need gas and then we can go to Publix."

I got out of the car and pumped the gas while Margo played around with the radio. I got back into the car and The Police were playing, a song called "Every Breath You Take."

Margo turned it up. "God, I love this song."

I nodded to the beat while the lead singer sang about this girl that he was kind-of sort-of stalking. When the chorus came, we both bopped our heads to the beat and sang loudly and off-key. Well, at least I was singing off-key. When the song was over, Margo started laughing.

"You really can't sing, can you?" She giggled.

I scratched my head, "I'm pretty sure I'm tone deaf, we discovered this last year."

"Ahh, I see." Margo said and nodded her head. "Turn here."

I turned and then moments later pulled into he Publix parking lot. "Don't get out yet." She said as I pulled into a parking space.

"Ok here's the grocery list." she handed me a list filled with grocery items. "That's only half, I'm getting the other half."

"Ok." Then it dawned on me. I had like thirteen dollars in my wallet. "Wait.... I don't have any money."

"Don't need too. I have over 5000 dollars in cash on me, I have a credit card, and I know the password to my personal bank account for backup."

"Ok we'll then I guess we're settled."

"Let's go" she said. We opened our car doors and got out of the car and raced into Publix.

The list she gave me had 13 items:
large Cooler
Ice
Tooth brush
water
Peanut Butter
jelly
wheat Bread
mint Tooth Paste
Cherry flavored Chapstick
Trail mix
Black face Paint
Make Up wipes
a Cell phone Charger

Not too unordinary. I tired to grab everything on the list quickly and then made a beeline for the register. Margo was already there.

"Here," he handed me a hundred dollar bill, "Pay for this on isle 2."

"Ok," I said taking the money from her hand. I set all the stuff down on the moving conveyor belt. I waited for lady to ring me up.

"Forty-two fifty-six is your total today." I handed her the money and she gave me exact change. "Have a nice day."

"You too." I responded trying to be nice. I finished before Margo. We walked out of Publix with four full grocery bags and smiles on our faces.
