"Hey mom." I said when we came in the door.
"Hey what happened out there?"
"We'll explain it to you in the morning, can we crash here tonight?"
"Yeah sure. You sleep in your room and Margo can-- wait can't Margo sleep at her own house?"
"Actually, no, my parents and I are fighting, can I sleep here, please?" Margo pleaded.
"Of course you can, the guest room is right down the hall, two doors down from Quentin's."
"Ok thanks." She said.
"Night mom." I said, kissing her cheek.
"Night sweetie." I walked behind Margo to my room. It took me like five minutes to get ready for bed. While I was in my room. I decided to pack clothes, a phone charger, my toothbrush, my laptop charger, and a map of the world. I put it all into my backpack, ready for the morning. After packing I slightly opened Margo's door to say good night.
"Night Margo." I said peeking my head through the crack.
"Night darling." she said as she winked and blew me a kiss. I slumped back to my room and looked at my clock. It read 3:09 am. I laid down in my bed and memories flooded my brain. Memories of all the great times in this room. Of the night when Margo opened my window and climbed in."Morning mom." I said stretching and coming into the kitchen.
"Morning sweetie," she said, kissing my forehead.
"What's for breakfast?" I asked.
"Whatever you make." She said sitting down on the couch and turning on the TV.
"Mom."
"What?"
"Please make me breakfast?"
"Nope you're nineteen make it yourself."
"Fine." I reluctantly agreed. Margo came in a few seconds later. She turned to my mom.
"Thank you so much for letting me stay here, Mrs. Jacobsen."
"No problem Margo, anytime." she smiled. I laughed and continued to scramble eggs.
"Where's dad?" I asked suddenly realizing that he wasn't here.
"Business trip."
"But you guys have the same job."
"They invited me, but they only needed one of us to go, so I sent your father."
"Right." I said, turning back to the pan.
"What's for breakfast?" Margo asked.
"Eggs."
"Scrambled?"
"Yup. Is that ok?"
"Yeah totally."
"Where to today?" I questioned.
"Well, as much as I love staying here and making you be my personal servant, " she stopped to see my reaction. I rolled my eyes, "I think we should pay Carl a visit in the hospital."
"That doesn't sound smart, but if you say so." I said, placing a plate of eggs in front of her. She immediately took a bite.
"Yeah, I have a little plan, and it involves no violence."
"Good." We both scarfed down our eggs before getting ready for the day. After we were ready, we said our goodbye's (to my mom) and I started the car, but before I could back out. Margo stopped me.
"Wait thirty seconds I need to grab some stuff from my room." she tucked and rolled out I the car and stopped at her house. I watched as she scaled the side of her house. And then I realized that I forgot the little backpack I packed. I ran back into my house, and grabbed the little pack beside my bed. I slid back into my seat before Margo even noticed I was gone.
"I'm a NINJA!" I yelled out.
"I saw that." she said from the backseat.
"Dangit."
"Someday Q, you will be a ninja, but today is not that day."
