I got out of the car and walked over to Margo's house, I knocked on the door. Ruthie answered.
"Oh hey Quentin, what are you doing here?"
"Has Margo come by here in the last 24 hours?"
"Um really only to wish me a happy birthday and then to get her keys."
"Wait, when was your birthday?"
"Yesterday, I turned eleven."
"Well, Happy Birthday."
"Thanks."
"So, Margo's not here?"
"No, but why do you keep asking?"
"I think she's gone again."
"But you can find her again, right."
"I don't know, but I'll let you know if I do."
"Don't worry, I believe in you. You can do it." She smiled and closed the door. I walked off their porch and towards my car. The Osprey. I ran over to my car and started it up. She had to be there, where else could she be? I drove fast, ignoring the speed limits. I pulled into the dirt road that was the driveway to the building. I got out and went around to the back. The dead raccoon from May was gone, probably removed or eaten. I walked in through the back door and steeped into the dark and dank room. It smelled of mold and water but with a hint of lilac and crushed almonds. It was Margo's shampoo. It was a refreshing feeling knowing that Margo had been here, maybe she wasn't that far away. As I began to look around, I peeked out a dirty window and saw something outside my window. The SunTrust building. I immediately grabbed my backpack and headed towards the familiar building, Margo and I went there in the middle of the night, Margo and I had a sleepover there. I drove fast, still minding the speed limits, but still fast enough to not get pulled over. I hurried along fast, barely missing some green lights. I pulled into the SunTrust parking lot, I parked in the back because it was during hours of work and I didn't want to draw attention to myself. I walked into the building and walked up to the man at the desk, the name card read "Gus."
"Hi Gus." I spattered out.
"Hi..... Um do I know you? Because you look familiar."
"I am familiar, I came here with Margo, twice."
"That's where I know you!"
"Yeah well anyways. Have you seen Margo lately?"
"Actually, yes I have."
"Did she say anything?"
"She did, she said to give this to you, when you asked for it." He held out a package wrapped in a brown paper bag.
"Can I have it?"
"Yes." He handed me the package and it tore it open, and when I opened it I realized something I never had before.
