At 3:00 am I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. They guys and I crashed at about one. I was laying on my beanbag and my phone was on my nightstand. I stood up and got my phone. The contact said: Lacey.
"Hello?"
"Quentin?"
"Lacey, what are you calling me at three in the morning?" Lacey's breathing was heavy and shaky.
"Well, I woke up to go to the bathroom and I looked over and...."
"And what?"
"And.... Margo was....gone."
"WHAT!" I yelled so loud that Ben and Radar popped awake. "She gone! What?!!"
"I don't know," Lacey said, starting to cry, "she didn't leave a note or nothing, her backpack is gone too." She cried harder. Radar put on his glasses and asked, "what's going on?"
"Let me see if Margo's car is still at her house." I peeked out the window, Margo's silver Honda was.... Gone.
"Her car..... It's gone."
"Oh no!" Lacey sobbed, "I've tried calling her and everything! My best friend is gone again." She whined.
"What is going on?" Ben asked.
"Margo's gone again. No car, no note, and she's not answering her phone."
"Who are you on the phone with?" Radar asked, breathing out heavily, trying to stay calm.
"Lacey."
"Lacey? Let me talk to her."Ben said.
"No." Radar and I said in unison.
"Why not, I am her boyfriend."
"Let me talk to Ben." Lacey said, calming down a little bit. Ben took my phone and left the room, he clearly wanted the conversation private. I sat back down on the beanbag.
"What now?" I asked Radar.
"Wait it out, she'll eventually come back."
"Ok, I will wait three days, if she does not come back, the life goes back to normal, I won't look for her."
"Quentin,"
"What?"
"We both know that you will look for her. You worry about her, you love her."
"I know, but I want to become a doctor, I can't just leave college forever just to follow my childhood crush."
"Don't call her that."
"What do you mean?"
"Don't call her your childhood crush, because she's not your childhood crush, you love her and you won't let her go, you can't let her go. And I think she loves you back."
"You can say some pretty wise words Radar."
"Well...."
"But other times, your just an idiot." Radar smiled and I punched him (playfully) in the arm.
