"I'm still laughing about it!" Margo said, still cracking up. I stifled a laugh.
"Did you see his face?" I said, giving into the laugh.
"I mean it wasn't even that funny why are we still laughing."
"I'm just laughing cause you're laughing." We both sighed and then got serious again.
"But seriously though, we only have an hour till we get to Maryland, let's go."
"Right," I said, starting the car and pulling out of the diner parking lot. I looked at Margo, who was clearly still cracking up.
"Oh my god are you still laughing?" I asked.
"Yes," she said letting out another laugh.
"It wasn't even that funny."
"Yeah, it was.""Welcome to the great state of Maryland."
"Thanks, what time?"
"Um," I said, looking at the time on the clock, "about one-thirty seven. And it's you're turn to drive."
"Fine," she said climbing over me and grabbing on the wheel.
"Um, Margo?"
"What?"
"You're kinda, siting on my lap."
"Sorry." she said, lifting up her butt so I can escape from under her. I slid into the passenger seat and fixed my messed up hair.
"Where are we going?"
"Pennsylvania, I want to try to make it there in time for dinner."
"Ok." she said, speeding up twenty miles per hour.
"I said I wanted to, that doesn't mean speed and get a ticket."
"I'm barely speeding, I'm only going three miles over, you just drive like an old lady."
"Thanks."
"My pleasure. Now, get off my back?"
"Sure."
"Good, cause you sounded like my mother.""How many more hours do I have to drive?"
"One, in one more hour we will be in Pennsylvania and I will drive after dinner."
"Ok then how many hours to NYC?"
"Another three, if traffic is good, we should make it there by nine-thirty, depending on how long it takes us to eat dinner."
"Ok."
"We only have an hour to eat."
"Ok I get it."
"Good, cause we only have an hour."
"Stop." she said, glaring at me with a glint of sarcasm in her eyes.
