Chapter 59: The Emperor Trap (Part 1)

The fifteen personal guards easily overwhelmed Alucard's team despite the latter having two destruction stratagems aiding them. There are six Mid Triple S and nine Entry Triple S rankers. Due to the previous ambush only the strong and the fortunate survived.

The gap of cultivation between the two groups is like a large mountain that cannot easily overcome with usual preparations. Moreover, many of them had been severely wounded from the harsh battles the Snowdrifts faced on the way to the Ku Kang plateau and are not at full strength. Many of those injuries cannot be easily healed, like John who had lost an arm in his fight against a War God barbarian.

Their battle quickly devolved into a chaotic swirl of violence. It is fortunate that Sihala is leading their group. Despite not knowing Origin Energy Infusion, he is an authentic Entry Triple S ranker. His title as The Chosen One isn't just hearsay either. It took four Entry Triple S rankers to hold him down and if one of them are careless they might be killed by him.

At this time, the hundred swords controlled by Lucas launched into the enemy group. The personal guards reacted at lightning speed and knocked away the blades before reforming into a combat formation. Still, there were three soldiers that were slow. The swords readjusted themselves in the air and quickly cut them off from their team. The shadows of the Weapon Formation rushed forward and surrounded the three.

The shadows have strength according to the weapon's grade. While it isn't fantastic, their advantage lies in their immortality. As long as there are enough energy to sustain the Weapon Formation, they can fight forever.

The eight remaining Personal Guards were matched against Alucard, Lan Lei, Long, John, Silvers, and Sasha. Although disadvantaged, they managed to survive thanks to the Hundred Swords Array and Lee Hei frantically blasting any and every enemy with countless treasures.

While these three groups are fighting, Kairos' side already began their attack on the White Emperor.

Most of Lee Hei's support is focused on helping them. They had to wear down this Peak Triple S ranker if they are to have the slimmest chance of victory.

Reynold is secretly surprised of the increase in cultivation these boys portray.

Not many enhancement techniques could help a cultivator jump so many minor stages above S rank. He looked at the Greater Elementals and sighed. These things are tedious to handle. Elementals are beings without a physical form and thus almost impossible to kill. Their only natural enemy are the soul-eating devils.

These usually peaceful beings that safeguard nature are dangerous to offend because defeating one is easy but getting rid of one is nearly impossible. After destroyed, an Elemental will slowly rekindle itself over time and return to haunt you. Reynold can only hope they might disperse after killing the four contractors.

The first one who bolted forward was Jim.

With a dagger in each hand, he ran swift with his chest low to the ground.

Reynold reacted like a hurricane. He lashed out swifter than anyone expected and immediately tried to take Jim's head.

A hand came down rapidly, the power and speed behind it will easily tear off any body parts it comes into contact with. Jim responded just as quickly or he will die. His torso tugged close to his knees and he twisted to the side.

However, Reynold did not give him a chance to avoid, his hand followed Jim closely. If he reaches, Jim's head will definitely be separated.
