Chapter 4.

You wake up thankfully in the morning, put on your uniform, and grab your staff and head out the door.

To your surprise you don't find him waiting outside your door. Then you notice a piece of paper taped to your door.

"Meet me in the courtyard 8:00 am sharp."

You go back to your room and check the time, realizing it was 11:05 am. You cursed under your breath as you teleport to there. You were still getting the hang of it but you were okay at teleporting now.

The Golden Guard was leaning against a tree next to you.

"You're three hours late." His tone was sharper then normal so you could tell he wasn't in a very good mood.

"Sorry about that, I guess I slept in."

"You do realize it's required the members of the Emperor's Coven wait up at 6 am, right?"

'Wow this guy is great.'

"Uh, let's just forget about that..." You mumbled.

"Alright then. We were supposed to be at there, but we can still get there. Come on."

He got on his staff and to your surprise waited for you to do the same, then you both lifted up and you followed him.You soon landed in front of....Hexside?

"What are we doing at Hexside?" You ask as you get off your staff.

"A small griffin was reported attacked a student."

"Oh...." You always liked griffins, since they were interesting creatures and you used to read about them.

'Why would one attack a student?'

"Anyways, it should be somewhere over here...." You both suddenly hear a squawk behind the Golden Guard. He yelped and turned around.

"Well that was easy!" He pointed his staff in the air towards it and tried to capture it in a net, but it flew into the air before he could.

The griffin dived towards him at a rapid speed and the Golden Guard deflected it.

"A little help here?!" As he yelled over to you, the Golden Guard was distracted and got knocked over by the griffin.

"Yeah, yeah." You got onto you staff and made a vine to pull the creature backwards. The griffin snapped at the vine and was able to free itself but was now closer to the ground,

You were able to make a net around the griffin and trapped it successfully. Getting a closer look at the griffin, you felt bad for trapping it.

"HEY!!" You heard a voice behind you and turn to see a very angry girl with light brown hair in a Hexside uniform with more than one color, which you never seen before.

"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH PUDDLES!" She yelled as she circled her finger, making the net disappear.

"What-" The Golden Guard got up as he rubbed his head.

"Are you okay? Oh thank titan, you're okay" She went over the griffin, Puddles, and stroked its beak as it squawked.

"Umm, I'm sorry but who exactly are you?....." You ask.

"More like who exactly are you, I know who the Golden Guard is but I've never seen you before. Anyways I'm Viney." She seemed to calm down a lot after checking puddles.

"I'm the new rank in the Emperor's Coven, the Silver Soldier."

"Cool name, but why exactly were you both trying to capture Puddles?"
