You woke up to the sun shining brightly into your eyes and sighed. Since Hunter talked to you last night, you've been worrying nonstop.

Actually you have been worrying the last five days, but now you became a disaster.

You felt like an idiot for just realizing what a vulnerable position he is in at the castle, since he's Belos' nephew. Belos was able to do anything to him and that's the thing that probably worried you the most.

And you guessed Belos was abusive. If he wasn't, then where did all the scars on Hunter's hands come from? He always wore gloves to cover his hands so it couldn't be from doing his coven duties.

One time when you still lived at the castle, you asked him about his scars, but he became uncomfortable and changed the subject quickly. That's why you didn't bring it up again so you didn't upset him.

The worst part was, you couldn't protect him. You lived at the Owl House now, so there was no way to comfort him when he was at the castle.

Not to mention you were on the run big time. Every time you tried to go into the public in the last five days, they were there just waiting for you.

Who knows how long until they show up at your front door? Who knows how long until they hurt Eda, King, or even Luz?

Who knows how long until Hunter gets hurt?

And what about when the scouts caught you and brought you back? Would they arrest you? Place a curse on you? You knew Belos didn't want to kill you but there were a million other options.

And yes, you did mean when and not if. Because you knew they were going to capture you soon. They would easily overwhelm you with their numbers, they did it before and you know they'll do it again.

So that's why you made a decision.

You put the pencil down, picked up the piece of paper and placed it on your pillow.

"Dear Eda, King, and Luz,

I'm turning myself in.

I've gotten enough people hurt already and I'm not going to do that again. If I don't do this, the scouts could go after you three.

Don't worry about me anymore because I know Belos won't kill me. And just stay away from the coven. Please.

Stay safe,
Y/N."

You stared at the note longingly, wishing there was some other solution but deep down you knew there wasn't. You sighed and grabbed your staff, took one more glance at the note then teleported into town.

After about five minutes of walking, you turn around to see some scouts watching you. You ducked into a alleyway so you were out of view.

Then you glanced at P/N and raised your arm, and palisman got off the staff and landed on your elbow. "I to do this alone. You need to leave me here and just go back to the Owl House, okay?"

It cawed sadly, rubbing its face against yours saying goodbye before it flew away, leaving you standing alone. You went back onto the street and the scouts heads snapped towards your direction.

You sighed through your nose as they quickly surrounded you.

"Y/N L/N, you are to be-"

"-I'm turning myself in." The scout stepped back in shock. "What?"

"I'm turning myself in. And if you don't put the cuffs on now, my magic will go haywire and then all of you will probably be dead in a minute." You smiled with your tone being ice cold.
