Chapter 14.

You five went back into the house and you sigh in relief. Then you all ate dinner and you sat on the couch with Luz.

"So, basically your staff is now evil and it teleported you to the castle?"

"Yep, pretty much."

"And you walked the whole way here?"

"Yeah." You feel bad for lying, but you weren't ready to tell her about Hunter yet.

"Is your staff working yet?" Luz asked.

You glanced at the staff in your hand, the tip was still red, and you look back at Luz. "Not really, but it still helps with my spell circles."

"That's good- wait why is it glowing?" She pointed at the staff and you looked back at it. The tip was now glowing brightly and you got up from the couch.

"What in Titan?!" You back away from the couch with your staff still in hand. It only glowed brighter and brighter and the staff started to spark again.

You then ran outside and thew the staff onto the ground. The staff the exploded, throwing you backwards. When you opened your eyes, the staff was completely gone and only scorch marks in the grass were left behind.

"What in the world just happened?!" Luz asked as she helped you up.

"The staff exploded." You reply.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." You mumbled, and a few sparks flicker around you. Just then, P/N flew over to you and you quickly backed away.

"P/N don't get closer-" The palisman turned into a staff and you caught it instinctively. The sparks then stopped and you looked at the staff in surprise.

"No sparks....no more sparks! I'm not dangerous now! I'm- I'm okay! P/N stoped me from sparking." You wiped a tear that went down your face with a grin.

"This feels amazing! I-" P/N then turned back to a palisman and landed on your shoulder. You start to panic and back away from Luz.

But after a couple of seconds, no sparks flicker around you. "....This doesn't make any sense." You say after a while.

"Wait, maybe P/N just needs to be around you and not even be a staff!"

"I think you're right." You stared at the palisman in disbelief and it squawked at you. "Yeah, you are right." You added as you stroked its head.

"Aw, he's so cute." Luz said as she looked at the palisman.

"Can we go inside now though? It's late."

"Yeah, let's go." The two of you went back inside for the night.

Five days past since then, and Eda and Lilith taught you how to summon your palisman wherever you went which was cool and in your free time, you just hung out with Luz.

But you haven't talk to Hunter. Ever since he helped you escape the castle, he hasn't contacted you or anything.

You just hoped Belos didn't do something bad to him. You went upstairs with Luz to go to your rooms.

"'Night Y/N."

"Night Luz." You said as you closed the door behind you. Then you got changed and P/N changed back into a palisman and slept next to your nightstand.

You turned off the light and lied down in bed, unknowing of the dreams that were about to come.
