You woke up and and were met with a bright light. You sat up, your eyes slowly adjusting to your surroundings as you looked around.
It took a second to realize you were in the castle's infirmary and you jolted up from the bed, panicking.
You felt weak and shaky all the sudden, about to fall to the floor when someone stepped in front of you and grabbed you by your arms.
"Nope, not gonna happen." Hunter said as he pushed you back onto the bed.
"No, I'm going to start sparking again! I need the staff." You tried to get out of his grasp and jump off the bed.
"Y/N, calm down! You need to rest right now."
"I can rest later!" You replied as you successfully got out of his grip and fell face first to the floor. "Ow."
Hunter pulled you back up. "The elixir took a toll on your body since this is the first time you drank it."
"Oh, I forgot about the elixir." You sighed as the memories of yesterday came back to you.
He put you back onto the bed. "You won't be able to walk for a day. Belos have me the day off so I can take care of you."
"Hunter, I'm fine, really! Can I at least do something productive with my life for once?" You tried to jump off again but Hunter pinned you down to the bed.
"You need to rest. Now."
You mumbled a "Fine," and he let you go. You sat up and he sat on the bed next to you.
You glanced at his left hand which was covered in bandages and gasped.
Hunter raised a eyebrow. "Are you al-"
You hugged him tightly before he could finish. Even in your weak state you still held onto him tightly as tears came to your eyes.
"Oh my Titan, I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm so sorry-"
"Y/N, why are you apologizing?" He asked.
"Because I hurt you. I hurt you just like I hurt everyone else." You sobbed into his shoulder. He got out of his shocked state and hugged you back.
"Y/N, I'm fine. You shouldn't apologize for something you can't control." He let go of the embrace and took your hands in his.
"But-"
"But nothing. It's just a little scratch, that's all."
You inhaled deeply. "Okay." That's when you remember something else.
"Hunter, why did you say this is the first time drinking the elixir?" You asked. "I only need to drink it once, right?"
Hunter didn't respond and looked away. "Hunter?"
"....No. Apparently since Belos doesn't trust you completely, he only gave you a small percentage of cure which will only stop you from sparking for a week." You were surprised to hear the pure anger in his voice.
"I can't even believe Belos gave you your curse and he lied! He lied about everything! He doesn't even care." His voice started to break and you placed your hand on his shoulder.
He sighed and squeezed your hand gently. "You'll have to drink it around once week until further notice."
"Oh." You took your hand off his shoulder and looked down at the floor.
"What's wrong?" Hunter turned back at you, concerned.
"Before I got the staff, I had to drink a elixir every two days to keep the magic controlled. It was the closet thing to a cure I had. I know it's not that long, but it just sounds surreal I guess." You rubbed your neck.
