Jahseh POV:

"New Message From Monica. I really enjoyed last night. Eggplant emoji, water emoji, tongue emoji. I can't wait to see you a-" my car reads aloud before I cut it off. I forget I have that setting at times.

"Wow, so who is Monica" Ma says dragging out the name.

"Man nobody" I suck my teeth. I knew I shouldn't of connected my phone when it wasn't doing it automatically.

"So you're just sleeping with Nobody's now. She doesn't seem like a nobody meaning she had such a good time" she continues.

"It was a one time thing. Nothing serious" I tell her in hopes that she'll drop the conversation. I don't have nothing serious going on nor do I want anything serious.

"We'll whether she's a nobody or not my grandson does not need people walking in and out that door every other year. He's already been through a lot with the women you've been with why keep adding to that? I get you're trying to move on but there's a way to do it carefully and correctly"

"He's not seeing nobody walk in and out the door. Only people he's seen walk in and out the door is the two people that I didn't even want or expect to leave"

"I think you should go to counseling or a therapist instead of sleeping around on who knows what"

"I'm not sleeping around. I just told you it was a one time thing and I've been with one person. How is that sleeping around"

"Jahseh I'm not trying to make you mad I'm just trying to let you know how I feel. Maybe you need someone to professionally help you get over the break up"

"To get- do you hear yourself. If I'm willing to sleep with someone else wouldn't that mean progress. I'm finally moving on since the break up" I say looking at her as we stopped at a red light.

"No. Are you forgetting Stokeley told me about that girl you were seeing behind Siennas back and how you slept with her the moment you were single. Clearly you're trying to use sex as a coping mechanism and it's not good. Don't go around messing with these girls feeling because you feel hurt, and you feel scared".

"You keep listening to him instead of me. That nigga fucks a new person every week and you're worried about me. He's probably fucked almost very girl in this city by now, including Alyssa and S-Mookie"

"Don't sit here trying to cause an argument when you're the one accusing her of things. Like I told you I don't think you're coping right nor do I think you're ready to move on" she cuts me off.

"How long do you expect me to take? I don't see nobody drilling her and she in a whole other relationship. She disappeared for almost month to everyone close to her, blocked everyone and avoided them. None of y'all saying she's not coping right or wrong for trying to move on" I say getting kissed off at this point.

"I doubt she's in a serious relationship"

"She introduced the dude to Stokes as her boyfriend. That's enough confirmation of a serious relationship to me."
