"It's disgusting how you still keep her around" I hear noticing Mookie as we got out the car and unload King.

"Shut up" Nana tells her rolling her eyes.

"No you should shut up before I give you a reason to enter through the emergency doors instead." Mook says eyeing her. Today is not the day.

We spent time together for her birthday but she wanted to pick King up early and cut it short. Since then it's been about three days. She asked if I was free today and we can go see about the DNA results.

"Mook, cut that shit out dead ass. You're holding on to some imaginary situation where I'll be with you and I'm not. I should have never did it the first time. You're going to keep fucking with Nana and she's going to whoop your ass. Imma' record the shit." I shrug and head inside. To me Nana don't have a mean mug or bitchy face so I don't understand why so many people are so ready to cause an issue with her.

"But I was told he'd be getting a cheek swap he's not even one yet"

"No he'd have to get blood work done and one of the potential fathers or all" the nurse said. Nana was still holding King looking irritated as shit. I walked over standing by her and the nurse looked at me then King and back to Nana.

"Can I talk to someone else, I feel like you're just wanting to poke and stab at my baby—

"What happened" I asked although I pretty much knew.

"She's saying he has to get a blood test when I thought for toddlers and infants they do cheek swabs"

"I'm trying to explain to her our facility doesn't do those" the nurse looked at me again and smiled.

"Can I talk to someone else or get someone else I don't want you touching my son" Nana said and another nurse walked by.

"What happened" she asked looked towards the nurse already in front of us. If she say the same shit I can almost guarantee Nana is going off on one of them.

"She's saying in order to have a dna test done that he has to get blood work. Implying that I'm only here because I have multiple potential parents, I swore you did cheek swabs on children" she says. She technically does have multiple but to automatically assume is a bit unprofessional. We could be getting it done to have on hand for anything. I forget what happened with Kai and I had to prove paternity when he was two.

"So we do test cheek swabs we just got the shipment in today. We had been waiting all week for it. So I can have her get—

"No she's not touching my child"

"Oh-Kay so I'll get you all set up and this is dad or you're getting the test done as well" she asked. The other nurse rolled her eyes at Nana and walked away.

"It's just them for the test, yes." She said and king looked at me and tilted his head. I smiled at him so he reached for me. Nana passed him over fast as fuck, I wasn't even ready.

"Okay, that's cool. Follow me"

We headed to a room and they did King while having me swab myself. I did both sides best I could. She was playing in his mouth a bit saying his tongue kept fighting the stick.

"I'm not sure if she told you but we're a bit backed up so, this can take anywhere from two to six weeks to receive the results. Not that you need it quick because he looks just like daddy" she says baby talking at the end to King. He mugged the fuck out of her. She stood and put everything away filling out the paper work Nana filled out something and we were done heading back out to the car.
