Jahseh Pov:
I'll call you back when I know Mon" I say before hanging up.
She called saying she's taking me out this weekend for my birthday. Everything is a surprise but I have to figure out where Kai is going because he's not allowed.
I was a little skeptical but we're grown and I know Kai has probably heard us fuck or close to it atleast once a week so I understand her saying he can't go. Stokes has asked if I have any plans so the three of us and do something next weekend probably, so Kai doesn't feel left out. I know he enjoys doing something for my birthday each year. He just wasn't allowed to pick the activity this time Stokes said.
"Kai" I call and he yells yes back.
"Coming" he says, when I don't reply. Once he's in front of me he signed "Yes daddy" .
"Me and Mon are leaving for the weekend, so I'm letting you pick who you want to stay with unti—
"Sie- Mommy Sienna" he says cutting me off. I just looked at him for a few seconds. I would of never guessed that'd be his answer.
"Okay I'll text and see if—
"Can you call her instead please" he asked sitting by me. I nod and pull out my phone to call her. I stood up slightly pacing the floor.
"Hello" I say when I no longer hear the dial tone.
"Jahseh" she says her tone confused.
"I got a question,I'm uh, Nana my bad, I'm leaving this weekend and told Kai to pick where he wants to stay at. He- we wanted to know if—
"You want me to keep him for the weekend" she asked. "Zaydens here" she adds and I kind of figured he'd be there. I'd feel more surprised if he wasn't. I've said it before to her but, although I didn't expect them to work out I really think this is it for her. Their relationship has been good for almost a year.
"I know he just wanted to spend time with you guys I guess. If not it's fine"
"No I can watch him. I just wanted to let you know" she said and Kai stood up. This is awkward as hell for me since I haven't spoken to her since Christmas. I gave a brief follow up that night when I got home and that was all.
"Can I talk to her daddy" He asked pulling my shirt some.
"Nana Kai said he wants to talk to you" I give her a heads up before passing him the phone.
Kai started taking to her and his ass was jumping topic to topic. He's asking her about her day, how she feels, was the baby being good. The shit shocked me. I know he was all over her basically at Ma house but he still don't bring her up nothing. Plus that was almost a month ago.
