marauders hc:
imagine the boys begging mcgonagall for permission to leave hogwarts to go see queen in concert (james and sirius even went down on their knees). when she initially refuses, they protest heavily in the form of pranks. howlers are being sent to random students containing the sound of peter's off-key rendition of bohemian rhapsody. students and teachers wake up to hallways being plastered in queen posters one day and another time, the boys manage to mcgonagalls diner plate into a vinyl record. she eventually caves and promises the boys that she will grant them permission if they promise to stop pestering her in return. after having sneaked into the concert with use of the invisibility cloak and having had the best night of their life, the boys return to the castle in glee. the next morning, they surprise mcgonagall with a band t-shirt and vinyl record of 'a night at the opera' to thank her. years and years later, minnie finds herself playing the album every october 31st and mourning what she considered to be the best friendship she had ever gotten to witness.
