After Claudia had gotten them kicked out of the hospital, she had gone to say her calming mantra.

So Lepidolite left, and was now on her own, walking through the city streets.

Until she saw Linopha.

Linopha: Lepidolite, it's good to see you.

Lepidolite: Is Callum better?

Linopha: No, not yet. He'll probably need some time. I'm not sure if he'll even go back to normal once he wakes up.

Lepidolite: Soren's not doing great either. He's permanently paralyzed from the neck down, and Claudia's going crazy because of it.

Linopha: I'm sorry to hear that. Do you want to go somewhere quiet to talk?

Lepidolite: Yeah. The tower should be safe, since Callum fixed it.

They climbed to the top of the tower and sat down, looking out at the view.

Lepidolite debated whether or not to tell Linopha the rest of the truth about the mirror or not.

Linopha: Callum's been trying so hard to learn the sky arcanum. It seems unfair that magical creatures are born with it, while humans have to struggle through blood, sweat, and tears to learn an arcanum.

Lepidolite: Yeah. That's why elves and dragons have bullied us with their superiority complex throughout all of history. But dark magic puts us on equal footing.

Linopha: That's probably why they went crazy and started a war.

Lepidolite: Yeah.

Linopha: There's something that I wanted to tell you about.

Lepidolite: What is it?

Linopha: You won't tell anyone?

Lepidolite: Of course not.

Linopha: Okay, so I found this rune cube called the Key Of Aaravos, and it unlocks something of great power in Xadia. It originally belonged to the elven archmage Aaravos, a master of all six primal sources.

Lepidolite recognized the name Aaravos, as if she'd read it or heard it somewhere before. But she didn't remember where.

Lepidolite: That's interesting.

Part of Lepidolite wanted to tell Linopha the rest of the story about the person in the mirror, but she decided not to. She decided that she wasn't ready to tell anyone else yet.

Lepidolite: I'm gonna go back to Soren. He probably needs some company.

Linopha: I should get back to Callum too.

And so Lepidolite and Linopha parted ways, even though they had only just found each other again. But they were going to encounter each other again in the future many times over.
