Something on the horizon catches Kokiri's eye.

He sees the human armies.

Kokiri (thinking): That's too big to be just Katolis. It must be all of the human armies. And they're here, in Xadia. Somehow.

Soon, Janai enters Kokiri's cell.

Janai: Your king came seeking passage.

Kokiri: Yeah. I can see that.

Janai: The Light revealed his true nature. Tainted with darkness, rotten to the core. Such an arrogant man. The queen sentenced him to be purified. After the ritual, I doubt there will be anything left of him.

Janai turned and left.

Kokiri (thinking): There's only one person in Katolis who uses that much dark magic and could've become king of Katolis. It must be Viren.

Kokiri watched as Viren was brought to the top of the sunforge tower, and the ritual started.

What happened next was kind of hard for Kokiri to make out from far away.

Suddenly, the light of the sunforge went black, like in a solar eclipse, and the stars above are visible, like in the night sky.

Suddenly, Kokiri's visions acted up.

After the sunforge went black, a bright projection of a startouch elf appeared.

Then it hit him.

Kokiri: The sun goes out, and the stars are visible. Both above, and down below. I get it now.

Kokiri paused for a moment.

Kokiri: You can't see the stars during the day, but they're still there. At night, when the sun is gone, you can see them. The darker it gets, the more beautiful light becomes. It is easiest to see where light is coming from, in the dark. Learn to turn off the lights, to put out the blinding light of the sun, to see the stars. Reject the blinding light and take off the lens that filters reality. Let go of your beliefs to see the whole picture, to see the whole truth. Only when you truly know reality itself, can you alter it.

Kokiri breathed deeply.

Kokiri: That is the star arcanum. After all these years, I understand the star arcanum.

Kokiri rattled his chains, yanking at them as hard as he could.

Kokiri: Liquefactio Stellarum!

The chains around Kokiri melted into nothingness, and he stepped out of his cell.

The sunfire elves guarding his cell were already panicking about what happened to the sunforge, but when they saw Kokiri step out of his cell, they freaked out completely, and tried to attack him.

Kokiri: Aethra Siderea Inpulsa!

A shockwave knocked the sunfire elf soldiers back and off the tower.

Kokiri stepped to the edge of the tower.

Kokiri: Stella Gradus!

Kokiri, as if floating, walked through the air to the sunforge tower, where Viren was. Viren left and Kokiri followed him, all the way back to where the human armies were.

Kokiri decided to rejoin them.
