Lepidolite was sitting at Soren's bedside, when she heard noises coming from down the hall.
Doctor: You can't be in here! The patient needs rest!
Suddenly, Claudia burst in the door, her eyes glowing. She was overflowing with magical energy.
Claudia: Lepidolite! Move out of the way!
Lepidolite stood back and watched as Claudia pushed the healing energy into Soren's body. The magic surged through him and he rose into the air above the hospital bed.
Then Claudia stepped back, and Soren slammed down onto the bed again.
Soren: Hey. What's this? I can move my toes. I can feel again! I can feel my knees, and my strong powerful thighs. And my ribs- OHH! I broke ribs, didn't I? It's horrible! I can feel again! AHH!
Lepidolite couldn't believe it. Claudia had actually found dark magic powerful enough to heal Soren.
But Claudia looked exhausted, and Lepidolite noticed a streak of white hair in her otherwise black hair.
Soren: Claud? Are you okay?
Lepidolite: Your hair, Claud. Look at your hair.
Soren: It's white- white like an elf's. Well, part of it is, anyway.
Claudia: You're going to be okay now, Soren. That's all that matters.
