Chapter 75. Lepidolite

Viren had fallen ill after using dark magic. It had been the first time that he had used it since coming back to life.

Claudia: Gah! We haven't moved an inch in days. We got the map to Aaravos's prison, but what good does that do us if we're stuck right here?

Lepidolite: It's not that far. We just need to get to the Sea of the Castout.

Claudia: We're running out of time. We need to get to that little brown island and free Aaravos if we want to keep my dad alive. It's time to move.

Terry: Your dad's sick, Claudia. We shouldn't move him until he feels better.

Claudia: Well, he's not going to feel better if he's dead.

Claudia looked over at Kokiri, who looked to be deep in thought.

Claudia: Kokiri, can't you use star magic to help him or something?

Kokiri: I don't know that many spells. Knowledge on star magic is very rare. I only know Melting Starlight, Stellar Shock, Star Step, Falling Stars, and Star Sight.

Terry looked at Viren, tossing and turning.

Terry: You'd think that if dark magic does this to a person, they might not do it.

Claudia: It only happens the first time you use dark magic.

Terry: If it only happens the first time, then why's he sick now?

Lepidolite: He's been dead for two years. This is the first time he's used it since coming back to life.

Claudia began pacing back and forth, repeating her calming mantra.

Claudia: There is no synonym for cinnamon. There is no synonym for cinnamon. There is no synonym for-

Terry: Spice?

Claudia: What?

Terry: Spice. I think that might be a synonym for cinnamon.

Lepidolite: I don't think that counts as a synonym. It's more of a category.

Terry: Okay. So you know, in the original native tongue of earthblood elves, there are indeed 17 words that are specific synonyms for cinnamon.

Lepidolite: Is that so...

Claudia: Why are you guys telling me this? This doesn't help me at all! Are you trying to break my calming mantra?
