Linopha was down in the battlefield with the others.
Ezran: Now that the battle's over, we need to help the wounded.
Janai: I'm worried. This is not over until we find Viren. We cannot let him slip from our grasp. I'll order a massive search of the entire battlefield. We will find him and capture him. We won't let him get away.
A figure out on the battlefield catches Linopha's eye. She squints. It looks like her sister.
Linopha: Lepidolite?
Linopha runs over to her sister.
Linopha: Lepidolite, what are you doing here? What's going on?
Before Lepidolite can respond, they hear someone yell.
Soren: No! Drop the staff, Father. It's over.
They see Viren, Soren, and Ezran. Viren's staff is raised, like he's ready to kill Ezran, and Soren is trying to stop him.
Linopha and Lepidolite watch.
Soren: I am a Crown Guard, and he is the true king. I will do whatever is necessary to protect his life, because now I know what the right thing to do is. Do you hear me?
Claudia rushed over to them.
Claudia: Soren, wait! You're making a mistake!
Soren ignored Claudia and kept talking to Viren.
Soren: Lay down your staff... and surrender.
Viren got ready to swing his staff when Soren stabbed him in the back instead, killing him, and Claudia gasped, eyes wide.
Claudia: How could you?
Soren slumped to the ground, in disbelief of what just happened.
Soren: I... I had no choice.
Ezran put his hand on Soren's shoulder.
Ezran: Why would he try to kill me, when it's so clear he won't win? The battle is over.
Claudia: No, it's not.
Soren: What?
Lepidolite walked over to them and Linopha followed, still not understanding what was going on.
Lepidolite: The real battle was never down here. All of this... was just a distraction.
Viren disintegrated into nothing.
Linopha: It was just an illusion!
Soren: Claudia, where is he?
Ezran: He's at the top of storm spire! Zym is in danger!
When Linopha and everyone else made it to the top of storm spire, they found out that Rayla that jumped off the spire with Viren, and Callum had gone to save her.
Linopha: So you figured out the wing spell?
Callum: Yeah!
Ezran prepared to give a speech.
Ezran: I just can't believe it. Everything that we've been through together. Traveling across the world, coming here to Xadia... We did it!
Rayla: We changed things. We made a difference.
Callum: Just the five of us.
Callum motioned to himself, Linopha, Ezran, Rayla, and Bait.
Zym made an animal noise, as if to say that Callum had forgotten him.
Callum: Six of us.
Gren: Hey! Just the five of you, huh?
Amaya motioned to everyone else.
Callum: Uh... I mean all of us!
They heard a rumbling sound coming from Zubeia's room. Everyone rushed in, and Zubeia started waking up.
Linopha: Of course, NOW is when she decides to wake up.
She looked at everyone else.
Linopha caught Janai and Amaya holding hands.
Zym flew over to his mom.
Zubeia: Is this a dream? I can't believe it. Elves and humans are here... and they've brought back the dragon prince.
Everyone else smiled.
