She was the girl I use to bully. That was until she captured my heart.
Still relevantly new in a relationship, I can't keep my hands off of her. My Red was addicting. Forever addicting.
Now, we're in college with a imperial distance between us.

Time was moving fast as I entered the last week of August. The month was coming to an end and it was beginning to feel like my college experience was constantly moving.
Making friends was a challenge, but I was lucky to warm up to the other girls on the soccer team, and I'm getting used to my roommate being around.
With the weeks that have passed, I've gotten to know London a little bit more. She is a free-spirited person, and she is a great mother. Ava, London's five-year-old daughter, is precious, and it was clear that she was a Daddy's Girl from the moment I met Elias, London's boyfriend and baby daddy, in person. But she acts and looks so much like London. She has a personality
Watching the way Ava interacts with London is heartwarming. It gave me a feeling that I didn't understand where it came from. It was so sudden, and I could only guess what it meant.
It was possible that I was feeling a certain way about the interaction Ava had with London. something I envied when I was a little girl, wishing for nothing but for my mother to be proud of me. Show me so much attention.
Show me that I am the only one that matters.
The same went for my father, and I just couldn't stop my mind from wandering off to the thought of my parents. The reality of my situation was heartbreaking. There are so many people in the world who are blessed with supportive parents. Whether they are together or not. However, there are many parents who are only concerned with themselves and frequently forget or do not care about their children.
"Gen?" London grabs my attention. My thoughts wandered, as did my focus on typing up a portion of my essay.
"Yes?"
"You okay? You seem distracted."
I smiled. "I'm okay. Just missing Oklahoma."
Though there was little to miss about my childhood home, I did miss the people. Jules and Skylar. Although, I don't have a close relationship with the girls, I do miss Adrian and Blaze. Adrian has been treating me like a sister while Blaze has been treating me like the sister he never had. His friendship is important because he is Mercer's best friend.
Demi-the last I heard, she had called it quits with Ronan. Mercer heard from Blaze, and Blaze heard from Ronan. He didn't leave out the fact that Ronan didn't care.
Even though Demi and I are no longer close, I don't have any ill intentions for her. Actually, I'm glad that Demi and Ronan aren't together anymore. She deserves so much more than that guy. She didn't deserve the treatment Ronan gave her. His intimidating appearance and polite demeanor initially tricked everyone, but as soon as his true colors emerged, he became unattractive to even speak to.
"I recall you saying you're from Durant," she nods. "Have you ever left the campus to get a closer look at San Diego?"
"Not yet," I say, shifting from my position on the bed. "I have just been focused on my assignments. I haven't really thought about it."
