Lee Baekhyun lives a simple life with only his mother as a family. He never knew who is his father or been interested in knowing. He is contented with the love of his mother that growing up without knowing who is his father never bothered him. His mom works double jobs to raised Baekhyun comfortably. She always dream of sending her son to the best university in Seoul for she always have this big dream for Baekhyun. She knows that her son's IQ is higher than average. Baekhyun learned to read even before he turned three. And because her son deserves a good life above anything else. Her Baekhyunee deserves to be love and be happy. Her nightly prayers consist of her son to find great success and happiness later in his life.

Baekhyun is always grateful of his mom's sacrifices and for trying so hard to give him what he needs despite the simplicity of their life. Baekhyun never feel sad or alone because he has the only person that he needs and that his mother.

But the life of the fifteen years old Baekhyun fell and crashed when he lost his mom to Leukemia. Baekhyun needs to be strong for her every single day while watching her fighting her illness. There were nights that he will just hold her thinning hands while trying not to shed a single tear for it will make her mom sad.

" Baekhyunee, I'm sorry that I can't stay to send you to the best university" - his mom said in a cracked voice.

" Mom , please don't say that. You will get better. I will get to the best university. I will give you a better life. " Baekhyun trying his best not to break down, at least not in front of his mother.

" Promise me son, you will graduate and finished your studies. You will not waste your brain even mom is not around anymore. You will be successful. You will not let anyone look down on you. You will be strong for yourself. And you will be happy. Can you promise me that, son? "  his mother's eyes looks tired but hopeful.

" Yes mom. I promised " Baekhyun said in a voice that almost a whisper.

Baekhyun feel lost and exhausted after his mom funeral. He was sitting alone thinking what he is going to do with his life now? How will he live? Should he find a job? But he was only fifteen , will anyone hire him? Dropping out of school is never an option. He promised his mother to finish his studies. But where should he start now? All the money that her mother saved for him was used for her hospitalization and medications. She doesn't want to but Baekhyun begged her to do it. He told her he needs her to be well than going to any prestigious school. He needs a mother more than a good education.

And now Baekhyun was left with nothing. Whatever left was used for his mother's funeral with the help of their good neighbors. Baekhyun had been emotionally and mentally drained that if ever death will come to him he will embrace it. He was lost. So lost that he felt that a part of him died together with his mother.

Without his mother to makes everything alright, Baekhyun feel lost and alone.
