Once A Park : Cry For Love

Since the day at the car park, Baekhyun tried his best not to cross path with Chanyeol. He stopped going to the cafeteria to eat lunch and just cooked meals at home to take it to school and shared it to Minseok who accompanied him eating lunch at the football field.

" What's for lunch today, Baek? " Minseok asked excitedly .

" Chicken burger and potato fries. Sorry I woke up late today. " Baekhyun apologized. Somehow he felt bad if he feed his friend sandwiches and not rice.

" Hey! No need to apologize. I enjoyed all the food that you made. They are more yummy than my mom's cooking!" Minseok wink at him, flashing his most irresistible smile.

" Seriously Min, you don't have to accompany me for lunch. I know you miss the food from the cafeteria, specially the deserts ". Baekhyun put a serious face trying to make his point.

" Cafeteria food are tasteless without your beauty, Baek!" Minseok teased him.

" Are you flirting with me , Mr. Kim?! " Baekhyun was horrified with the sudden thought and his face became hot. He was blushing.

" Ha ha ha! You wished, Mr. Byun! " Minseok laughed at him. " As much as I want to flirt with you or any other person, my loyal heart won't allow me to stray. " He winked at him.

" Wait! Do you have a girlfriend? " Baekhyun wants to smack himself for not knowing more about Minseok, the only person he has for a friend. Though he is not the kind of person to ask personal stuff.

" Not a girlfriend. A boyfriend! " Minseok answered with a playful smile.

" Oh!.." That's the only thing he managed to say.

" His name is Jongdae. We've been together since eight grade. We are friends since we were on our diapers. " Minseok said while chewing his sandwich.

" Where is he now? " Baekhyun was really curious.

" In Australia. That's where we grew up. Our fathers are best of friends and when my parents moved to Australia, his family followed. We literally grew up next to each other. This is the only time that we are apart. I wanted to know about my mother land Korea, that's why I signed up for exchange student program. " His friend explained.

" It must be tough to be apart from each other. " Baekhyun said thoughtfully.

" At first, yes. I do miss him so much. But the internet makes the distance much easier to bear. And we  think that we both need this to strengthen our relationship, not that it's not stable enough. But we both need personal space for self growth. And you know that absence makes the heart grow fonder. " Minseok was now finished his sandwich. He looks satisfied, though Baekhyun was not sure if it's because of the sandwich or the thought of his boyfriend Jongdae.

" Later I will introduce you to Dae even just on a video call. I already told him about you and he was happy I found a friend here in Korea. He said he was worried because I'm a lot of hard work for a friend. " And to that Baekhyun nodded his head and laughed. Being with Minseok helped him forget about Chanyeol, even for just awhile.

" Let's go now Baek! Lunch time is nearly over. " Minseok stood up and started tidying up the boxes of food for Baekhyun.

" Ah.. you go ahead first.. I will stay for awhile. " Baekhyun doesn't want to go now. His next class will be with Chanyeol. And since he decided to avoid Chanyeol he came to class same time as their professor. But he will use the back door and sit closer to it. And when the class finishes, he will be the first one to be out.

As if Chanyeol will look for me. Baekhyun mocked himself.

" Then I will go ahead first. I need to get something in my locker. Thanks again for the yummy lunch , Baek. Later! " Minseok bid his goodbye.

Baekhyun sighed deeply. He is now in a deep thought.

" Why I can't see Baekhyun anymore? " Tao said a little out loud to himself. All the pairs of eyes on their table stares at him.

" Yeah. It's been two weeks he didn't come to eat. Is he sick or something?" Jongin now is worried. He noticed too that Baekhyun haven't been eating in the cafeteria for awhile.

" I saw him attending our class. So, it's safe to say he is fine. " Kris answered.

" Chanyeol hyung, you have classes with Baekhyun too , right? How do you think he is? " Jongin can't help himself to worry about his crush.

" I haven't seen him. " Chanyeol replied flatly.

" You haven't see him attending your class?"  Jongin said not believing Chanyeol. How come he can't see if Baekhyun is attending classes or not.

" No." Chanyeol voice sounded a little bit irritated.

" You okay, Yeol? " Dara asked Chanyeol. She detected annoyance on his boyfriend's replies to Jongin 's questioning

" Let's go now. " Chanyeol stood up and head to the door without waiting for Dara who was puzzled by his sudden behavior.

Chanyeol entered the classroom just seconds earlier than their professor. He always sit at the front so he can focus well with the lessons. He looked at the back just in time and saw Baekhyun entered the classroom, head was low like he is trying not to be seen. He sit on the chair closest to the door, never ever look his way, Baekhyun keeps his head low to his book. And when the class finishes, Chanyeol can only saw the back of Baekhyun as he darted out of the door so fast like he doesn't want to be seen. For two weeks even though they are attending the class together, Chanyeol haven't seen Baekhyun's face and now he is sure that Baekhyun was really avoiding him.

The heck?!
