Baekhyun woke up with a shattered confidence and a painful body from sleeping on the cold floor and hitting his back last night.He still cannot believe that Chanyeol left their home. In two years of being married, although Chanyeol was always mad at him he never, ever said anything about leaving or divorcing him. What Chanyeol said last night made him realized how Chanyeol really sees him. He found him disgusting. Baekhyun felt like crying again upon remembering every words that his husband spit on his face the other night. It only showed how much Chanyeol loathed him.
He got up from the floor and forced his self to the bathroom. He needs to go to school today even he felt that the world was crumbling down on him. He have a test and has work at the library. He can't stay home and licks his wounds. No matter how broken he is, he needs to function like normal, this is how it was for him since his mother died.
Baekhyun was heading to the library to start his morning shift. He was a bit late and tried to walk faster despite of the heaviness he feels. Near the library is the car park for VIPs of the school, Baekhyun was crossing the car park when he saw Chanyeol's jeep maneuvering to park. He was frozen on his spot watching Chanyeol got out of his jeep laughing, he walked to the other side of the door and opened it. Dara emerged out of the jeep while holding two cups of coffee, she was more dazzling than the morning sun that hitting Baekhyun's pale face. She was smiling sweetly at his husband gentleman's gesture. And Chanyeol smiled like he is the luckiest man in the world. The same smile that Baekhyun saw whenever Chanyeol was with Yeri.
He didn't moved with her, didn't he? Baekhyun smiled bitterly to himself. He get it now. Even he is the husband, he will never be the one that Chanyeol will love or need in his life. The smile that he is seeing now on Chanyeol's face was enough for him to come to his senses. Whatever makes you happy. He thought to himself. And when he was about to looked away from the happy couple, he caught Chanyeol's darkened eyes. Baekhyun blinked twice and gulped, he looked down on the ground and forced his self to walk towards the library. Promising himself he will never ever bother Chanyeol again.
Chanyeol was taken aback when he saw Baekhyun at the car park watching him and Dara. He caught the bitter smile that etched on the smaller face. He met the eyes of Baekhyun that always reflected with pain for the last two years. but this time he saw something on it other than hurt, he saw a glint of resignation too.
