Once A Park : Cry For Love

Reasons

Chanyeol slumped on the bed in his hotel room exhausted of all the meetings he attended since morning . It's been four days since he arrived in Zurich, Switzerland  to meet investors while Yeri went to Paris to meet investors there. They were about to board the private plane that will take them to Paris when Yoora called them to split their tasks rather than do things together. Chanyeol agreed since it was more practical and they can be more productive given that they only have five days to meet all the possible investors in both countries.

Chanyeol can tell that Yeri was disappointed with his sister's decision but she have no choice, he just promised her that he will make it up for her birthday before she boarded the private plane while Chanyeol took a commercial flight to Zurich. If Chanyeol will be honest to himself, he felt so much relief about Yoora's decision. Spending Yeri's birthday together only makes him feel uncomfortable without thinking of Baekhyun. There are so much unresolved things between the three of them and the memories of five years ago on Yeri and Baekhyun's birthday only brings nothing but regrets and hatred on his part.

Chanyeol sighed as he sits down and took his personal phone from the bedside drawers. He cursed when he sees that it was out of battery. He charge it and went to take a shower. Chanyeol purposely left his personal phone in his hotel room for he doesn't want to get distracted while he is attending meeting after meeting for the last four days. His family and all his friends knows his business number so they can call or leave a message for him that his assistant will relay to him if it's really that important. So far, everything goes smoothly in this trip and Chanyeol can't wait to go back to Korea, he just want to finished the project launching successfully, so he - for once make things right regarding his personal life.

He went out the bathroom on his robe and wipes his wet hair with a towel before throwing it on the floor and grabs his phone and turned it on. He waited for the device to come to life and soon enough, it pings continuously- messages and missed calls notifications keeps coming. Chanyeol chuckled to himself. Who misses him this much to flood him with calls and messages? Maybe Kris. He thought with a smile. He opens the missed calls and sees that some of them were from his friends but most of them came from Min-ah. Chanyeol brows furrowed. Why Min-ah called him so many times? He went to his inbox and scrolled until he spotted unopened text messages from her.

Sir Chanyeol, sir Baekhyun didn't came home last night. He went for a job interview yesterday afternoon. I can't call him. I forgot to ask his mobile number. Can I have it please?

Chanyeol then realized that he didn't know Baekhyun's number too. Shit!

Sir Chanyeol, he still not home. I'm worried now. I'm going to the police.

Sir Chanyeol, I went to the police station to report about sir Baekhyun but they said it should be at least 48 hours before they can do a report. I don't know what to do and I don't have any idea where he could be. Please tell me what to do,sir?

Sir, he still not home. I'm worried sick of him. He didn't feel good when he left the house. What if something bad happened to him? I will go again to the police later.

There's still three unread messages but Chanyeol didn't bother to read them and hit Min-ah's number. She answers at the first ring as if she's been waiting for her phone to receive a call.

" Sir Chanyeol!! " Min-ah's voice was croaked like she's been crying.

" Where is Baekhyun?! " He demanded.

" He still not home ,sir. A-and the p-police still don't have any news about him. T-they s-said they w-will call if they f-found something. " Min-ah starts to cry again.

" What happened?! " Chanyeol felt panicked. " Why you said to your message that he is not feeling good. Is he sick? "

Min-ah hesitated if she will tell Chanyeol what Baekhyun been going through since Chanyeol left the house.Chanyeol sense her hesitation.

" Min-ah, you're with Baekhyun so you can tell me what is going on with him when I'm not there. Now tell me what the fuck is going on!! " Chanyeol's voice is a mixed of authority and irritation.

" Ba- Sir, Baekhyun have been locking himself inside his bedroom since he came back home from meeting his father. Chairman Byun's assistant came here to pick him up. He later returned looking devastated and he always stays inside his room.."

" When did it happened?" Chanyeol was surprised with the information. Somehow he knows that the Chairman cuts Baekhyun since he sent him to his place the day Baekhyun signed their marriage contract.

" The day when you supposed to come home for dinner but you didn't - " Min-ah cut her words when she realized what she's about to say.

The night when I met with Yeri and Yoora? Chanyeol thought to himself.

" Did he mention to you why his father called for him?"

" No, sir. I asked him when he came back because his eyes were swollen from crying. He simply said " family matters ". He is more quiet after that day. "

" And you said he is not feeling good the day of his job interview? "

" He got stomachache that day, he vomited the night before and cried in the bathroom.. " Min-ah paused, still weighing to herself if she can tell Chanyeol about the news.

" Did he ate something bad? I told you to prepare only fresh cooked meals for him.." Chanyeol sounded really irritated now. And out of fear that she will got the blame. Min-ah have no choice but to tell him.

" No, sir. That night he watched the news of you and Chaiman Byun's daughter being intimate at the airport. T-the n-news said that the t-two of you will get m-married soon. " Min-ah starts to cry again feeling how heartbroken Baekhyun that night. Her heart breaks with him.

" WHAT??!! What news is that??!!! " Chanyeol growls. Suddenly anger and fear rushes in. " What the police said?! "

" They said they will call when they have any lead.."

" Shit! " Chanyeol cuts her. " Call me once you heard from them! " He cut the call and called his assistant.

" What time is the last meeting for tomorrow? " He listens to the other person. " Book us a flight back to Seoul right after the meeting. " He ordered and threw the phone on the bed. He then grabbed his laptop and searched for the news about him and Yeri. And when the said article appears, Chanyeol pulls his hair out of frustrations.
