Byun Yeri

Living in Byun's mansion for more than two years now only made Baekhyun learns isolation. Chairman Byun's wife hated him to the core to the point that she looks at him with disgust every time they crossed path and said meanest things to him as long as his father is out of ear shot. His half-sister Byun Yeri is two years older than him. She is not mean as her mom but never get close to him. Yeri will nod at him when they see each other and sometimes give him a small smile but they never talk. Baekhyun chose to live outside the Byun's mansion, at the back where the maid's quarters are, there's a small cottage that facing the big back garden. Baekhyun loves the cottage so much because it was convenient for him. It was a little far from the main house and a lot closer to the back garden where he loves to spend his free time reading his favorite books or just simply watching the sky , looking at it feels like talking to his mother. The cottage have a small bathroom and kitchen that Baekhyun uses to prepare his own food. He wouldn't dare to eat at the main house and only go there if it's necessary or Chairman Byun called for him which is very rare to happen. He is like a tenant at the Byun's mansion. Never ever felt that he belongs there. Even the helps and drivers knows that his a son of the Chairman they never treated him like they treated Yeri. But they respect him enough and his privacy and Baekhyun is always thankful for that.

Baekhyun do things on his own. Never ask the helpers to do things for him. He goes to school riding his bicycle which Chairman Byun got for him since he refused to be driven to school with a car. He is doing a part time job in a cafe near their high school to save for his allowances even his father put money on his bank monthly for his expenses. Baekhyun doesn't want to leech off money from the Byun's. He is just here to fulfill his promise to his dear mother to finish his studies and graduate from a prestigious university. And to be able to fulfilled that he need to stay with the Byuns even they are not too fond of him.

Baekhyun doesn't have any friends too. People in his school are too classy and spoiled to make him their friends. He and Yeri are attending the same school though Yeri will be graduating soon and will go to the university. And he knows that because of his half-sister that no one dares to bully him. Baekhyun and Yeri may not be close but somehow Baekhyun feels that his half-sister cares for him.

Byun Yeri is a perfect beauty with a brain. She's on the top of her class and many students in the school are infatuated on her. She is kind and very friendly. Unlike those spoiled kids with the same social status, Yeri is more down-to-earth and humble. And even though Baekhyun is a little shy to admit it to himself, truth is - he look up on her too.
