Chapter Ten, Part One

long chapter, four parts! however- you only get one part per week.. don't kill us.

Nya, Lloyd, Jay, Skylor

We stared up at Borg tower towering over us. I didn't know about everyone else but I was terrified. 

We were all suited up and armed. I was wearing my old gray tunic. It was getting a bit tight because I hadn't worn it in a while but it would have to work for tonight.

 Kai stood next to me and I could tell he was tense. He was standing up straight and he had his two black katanas strapped to his back. He wasn't fully back to strength yet but he was determined he would not be sitting out for this. 

 We all knew that we weren't supposed to have our weapons but we had decided to bring them for good masseuse, just in case we had to fight the Crystal King for Lloyd and Skylor. 

Kai had said he would go one on one with the Crystal King if it meant for the rest of the team to get Skylor and Lloyd to safety. I was silently hoping it wouldn't come to that.

"You guys ready?" Kai asked. He looked at me and I nodded trying not to show how scared I was. Then he turned to face Jay, Cole, and Zane. The three of them nodded and they looked way more confident than I felt.

We took the elevator to floor 100-the top floor of Borg tower-I kept my guard up as we stepped off the elevator. 

The top of the tower was completely deserted. Gray clouds hung in the sky and they covered the sun. A cold wind blew and I shivered. I got the strange feeling we were being watched. We walked to the middle of the platform and I looked around at everything, little things catching my eye.

"This feels wrong" I said

"Yea, something is definitely not right here" Jay said. Then I heard footsteps on the stone floor. I turned towards the footsteps and I saw a figure coming out of the shadows. It was the same masked figure from the video.

"You!" Kai said and he stepped forward but I grabbed his arm to keep him from attacking the figure.

"I see you didn't follow my instructions" the figure said. I couldn't see his expression but he seemed annoyed we had brought our weapons. "Put your weapons down or your friend will get it" the figure said and he motioned his hand to his left. 

I turned my head and saw Pythor shimmer into existence. He had Skylor wrapped in his long white tale and he was dangling her over the side of the building. I felt Kai tense next to me. 

"Your choice" the figure said. Kai was glaring at the figure, pure hatred on his face. Then he took his swords out and threw them in the ground.

"Kai? What are you doing?" Jay said, looking at Kai shocked.

"This is our only choice, Jay," Kai said. 

He didn't need to say anymore. I knew he was right. I pulled my spear off my back and threw it down on top of Kai's swords. Jay sighed and his nunchucks joined the pile. Soon Cole's hammer and Zane's shurakins were in the pile too. 

Even though I couldn't see the figure's face he seemed to be smiling at us.

"Now let her go!" Kai said standing tall.

"Oh about that. You see there are a few people on the council who want revenge" more shadows appeared behind the figure. Asphera, The Mechanic, King Vangelace, and Mr E. Except they all looked different. Their outfits were all covered in purple Crystal.

 I stood my ground and raised my hands fully prepared to fight. My friends did the same. Who said we needed our weapons, we had both skills and our elemental powers, well everyone but me had their powers.....But I tried not to think of that.

"Oh and I almost forgot one thing to make your puny lives even more miserable" The figure stepped more out onto the platform so we could see him fully. Then he reached up and began to take his mask off. 

"Did you really think I was dead?" The figure's voice changed from male to female as she took off her mask. Her hood fell off and white hair tumbled out of it. Harmui smiled slyly at us.

 I lost my guard and almost stumbled over myself. Kai backed up a bit, lost his balance, and fell off his butt. I saw him wince when he fell on his right leg. I bent down by his side and went to touch his leg but he swatted my hand away. Jay, Cole, and Zane looked equally as shocked as we were.

"I knew you lived somehow!" Kai shouted trying to get back on his feet. I tried to help but he didn't want my help. Harumi gave us an evil smile. "Where's Lloyd! I know you did something to him!" Kai was now on his feet but he was shaking.

"Oh, about that." Harmui said and she was still smiling. She turned her head and yelled into the shadows "You can come out now!" Harumi said and she still wore her evil grin. 

I saw another shadow appear behind Harumi. When he stepped into the light I gasped in horror at the sight of my friend. 

He still had his blonde hair but he had the same red face paint as Harumi across his eyes. His eyes were also purple, not green. He wore a black tunic with a green belt and something shiny on his wrist caught my eye but his sleeve was covering it so I couldn't get a clear view of what it was. 

He had a purple sword attached to his back and the handle was covered in purple crystal. I looked at Kai and saw his face had gone pale. My other friends seemed horrified as well.

"I don't think we have officially met yet" Lloyd said with a sly smile just like Harumi's "I am your doom, but you can call me Lloyd."
