"Is it a good thing that Joel is in?"
Grian wasn't sure about his *cough cough* short friend being in, and in all honesty, neither were any of the other players, obviously disregarding Yellow, who were desperate.

"Let's be honest though, at least it's not Fruit, or Illumina. Joel's about average to Gems level."

"True, true."

After that, game three was rocket spleef rush. Not much really happened for the team, with Orange and Purple performing well, leaving us in fourth, but more importantly though, Aqua and Yellow began to pull away from the other eight teams, which worried us a bit.

Game four was tgttosawaf, with our team averaging third, and moving up, now ahead of Orange in the standings, and beginning to catch up to Aqua and Yellow. Despite joining late, Joel settled quickly into the team, and was already top ten, which wasn't good for us.

Over the break, Wilbur joined our VC, mainly to give Grian some encouragement, as his motivation was starting to cave. But truthfully, we were all enjoying ourselves, and Wilbur joining gave the whole team a much-needed boost.

Game five was Build Mart, courtesy of Wilbur, which Grian helped us to dominate. The sheer number of points helped pull us into second, but with Aqua getting the top spot. Fortunately for us, Yellow dropped to fourth, as Orange pulled up into third.

Game six was battle box, but with most of the PvP teams having underperformed so far, (Green, Lime and maybe Purple? And minus Orange) we were able to hold second, but thankfully, Aqua stayed around our level, and didn't pull away too far.

Game seven, hole in the wall, wasn't necessarily a bad game for the team, and we remained in an average placing of 20th, scoring us into fourth place, allowing us to finally get ahead of Aqua, who finished seventh.

Finally, game eight came around, which was Sands Of Time. And playing on a team of (no offence to these ccs) weaker players meant that if we wanted to hold our lead, I would have to seriously pull my weight.

At least, now the VOD reviews came into play, and I knew that solid leadership would majorly help us in our goal.

"I'll lead us for this round, if you guys want?"

Obviously, since I hadn't actually played in this year, people had expected me to perform poorly, but over the whole event, I hadn't left the top ten, and neither had Grian. And I was especially proud of Niki and Oli, as they were still 11th and 13th. As expected, the team let me lead, and I just let my custom strategies come into play.

These strategies were actually just a mixture of a few different popular strategies, as a way of improving some flaws I had noticed.

"Grian and Oli, I want one of you to immediately focus the Red key puzzle, and the other search for the Red tunnel, because the sooner we get vaults open, the less sand is wasted. Niki, can you be the sand person? Whenever Niki speaks, listen to what she says, especially if it's to do with sand.

I'm going to focus Gold vault, so if you guys are down a tunnel, and find the Gold, or Emerald Keys, just shout it out, and send one of you guys back to drop the key off. Niki, I want you to collect the keys when they are in spawn, and then pass the key or keys to me when I'm back in spawn.

Along with everything I've said beforehand, if you guys find and open Red Vault, go for Blue. If the strategies don't work, then go for a normal one, but we will have to find out if they work or not."
