It's the last/lazy chapter of this book!

Finally!

I never though this day would come... like, really. I won't lie, I DEFINITELY wanted to discontinue this a few times, but stuck through, and I guess I'm kinda proud of the result? I think?

I needed a good outro song, so there's "shine a light", from my favourite musical The Heathers at the top of the page! You don't need to listen to it though, it's just an option (Though I would definitely recommend the musical as a whole. Even if you just listen to the soundtrack and don't see the musical, The Heathers as a whole is just *chefs kiss*).

Anyways, uh, recommendations aside...
I hope you enjoy!!!!

Taylor's POV

I grabbed all the stuff Lily had asked for on the way back, and when we arrived, Lily asked me to keep Scarlett entertained upstairs, while everyone else would set stuff up downstairs. Leading Scarlett out the room, I vaguely saw red (Scarlett's favourite colour), orange and yellow (Lily's favourite colour) fairy lights being pulled out, along with some plain white fairy lights as I gently pulled Scarlett upstairs.

I wished I could help set up, but you know, reasons.

Obviously, Scarlett was confused at first when I pulled her up, but they were quickly able to forget their confusion when I put Just Dance on the Switch, and we started playing pretty quickly (I was getting completely demolished >:(, she's too good).

After around half an hour of Scarlett dominating against me, Lily sent Maisie and Dondu upstairs to come and get us. They both seemed incredibly excited, and I think I knew why, and I was HELLA excited to see what they'd done. With permission/consent (just, you know, MORE reasons), Maisie placed a blindfold over Scarlett's eyes, and slowly led us both downstairs.

I was immediately awestruck at everyone's efforts as we entered the room. There were strawberry, vanilla and lemon coloured and scented candles scattered around Amira's living room. The distinct lack of furniture in Amira's new house proved to be helpful though, as it made decorating much easier, made evident by the white and orange mesh curtains hung up around the room, decorated with some fake ivy.

To add to the effect, there was some music playing in the background (specifically Reel Love by LDshadowLady, one of Scarlett's favourite songs), and the icon of the hour, Lily, was stood amidst it all, a small circle of vibrant-red rose and cream-white lily petals surrounding them. Maisie and Dondu led Scarlett to about three feet away from Lily, before leading me and Amira over to the doorway, Maisie gently nodding her head once, motioning for Lily to begin.

Speaking of Lily, they were wearing a shimmering bright-gold shirt, with a inky-black jacket, and black jeans, with wide hems on the bottom, displaying their long black fluffy socks, and golden boots. Even with all the fanciness, you can't get rid of comfort I suppose. They had a rose-gold flower in their hair, and a ruby pendant on their chest, a present from Scarlett on their.. I wanna say, 14th, maybe even 15th anniversary a few months back. Lily had one knee on the floor, and was clutching a sapphire-blue box to their chest. I sympathised with their nerves, and though Lily clearly feared the worst, I think most of us already knew the outcome, and were just waiting for Scarlett, who still had yet to take the blindfold off.
