Chapter 8: Happy Birthday Justine Flocka

10:38 A.M

Justine's POV:

AFTER getting out the hospital 6 days ago, I feel amazing.

Well only a little bit because my parents wont let me see Kay after I explained to them what had  happened.

You see I told a lie and told them that I was getting on the subway to join the college tour in Manhattan, when a crackhead came out of nowhere stabbing me because I wouldn't give up my seat.

The lie was soooo terrible and a little funny they weren't even believing it a little. I couldn't even change the story since I already made up that one.

My dumbass.

So I just told them the truth while crying because I already know I wouldn't be seeing Kay again.

Flashback to April 12

"So you mean to tell me you fought ova a boy Justine!" My mom said slightly yelling at me.

Her New York accent was coming out, so I knew she was furious.

"Mom it's not what it sounds like!" I say trying to defend myself.

"So that's why they're so many boys out there? are you in a gang Justine?" my dad asks me while rubbing his hands down his face.

"No I'm not in a gang, and what do you mean 'that's why they're so many boys out there'? I thought it was just you guys?" I asked my parents confused.

I never knew anything about other boys being here to see me. How did they even know I was in the hospital?

"Justine you have boys that look like they could be gangbangers! one even has tattoos on his arms and neck!" my mom tells me.

Oh so Kay here, Okay.

"They smell like weed too" My dad finishes laughing but then cut it short when my mom gave him a serious look.

"Justine your birthday is in a couple of days and I want you to have fun by enjoying yourself. I don't want you fighting over boys or even getting pregnant by one Justine, your still a child." My mom tells me calming down a little.

I see where she's coming from but, I don't want to leave Kay alone, it's like he put some spell on me.

I'm also on birth control because my mom knows I'm active, so there's nothing for me to worry about on that part.

"I know mom but you have to understand that those boys are just my friends okay? nothing more." 

"Okay Justine, but you better make sure that's all! I'm not playing with you and I don't want you seeing or talking to those boys again" My mom tells me before walking out.

"MOM!" I screamed out, but she never turned her back.

Right now I'm thinking of ways to sneak Kay in so we can celebrate my birthday.

But that was until my parents came in saying they have terrible news to spare.

"Justine we just got a call from Genesis mom Tanisha telling us that Genesis is in the hospital and she not waking up" My dad tells me as tears falls down my mom's face.

I was shocked. I didn't know Kay was serious about him getting back for me. He is so damn sweet.

And although my parents know about Genesis stabbing me, it still hurt them a bit because they knew Genesis since she was in diapers so hearing that she might be dead is a little sad.
