Chapter 60: Good News And Bad News To Share pt.2

Justine POV

It was after 8 and I was rushing outta the hotel to get Kaiyeer and Kaela out for school, while I was also gonna be taking Kalani back to her moms house due to her not having her school clothes.

Now Kai and Kalani don't go to the same school because Kaiyeer go to a private, and Mya makes her daughter go to a public elementary school in The Bronx.

When me and Kay was together he always told me about him wanting to take full custody of Kalani so she could have a better life and I don't blame him. Mya been trippin the fuck out lately.

I parked and watched Kaela gather her things, while Kai just sat down, not even touching his bookbag.

"Mommy, do I have to go?" Kai started pouting his lips and giving me that face he always gives me when he either sad, or just beggin for sum.

I was confused what he was talking bout though. I neva heard about Kai complaining about goin to school ever so why now?

"What you mean? you not feeling good baby?" he shook his head no as tears gathered in his eyes. I didn't know what was going on. Even Kalani looked confused.

"What's wrong Kai?" Kalani started comforting her brother while he cried in her arms.

"Mommy, there's this one boy at school, that always makes fun of me, and calls me names. I don't think wanna go to school today"

Kaiyeer never once ever told me about no boy at his school that bullies him ever. I don't know if he was either making up excuses so he wouldn't go to school, or what. He already missed a whole lotta days cause random shit keeps popping up.

"You never told ya father?"

"I did, but he told me to make fun of him back, or to just hit him whenever he hits me. Last time I got in trouble for cursing at him too cause daddy told me too"

Why would you tell a six year old to curse out another kid?

I swear I'ma handle Kay later. No wonder why my baby always getting in trouble and Kay always insisted in picking him up when the school calls. Guess I finally got the full story.

"What's his name?"

I asked while Kalani rubbed his tears away. They were such cute siblings to me. I swear Kalani acted like the older sibling sometimes beside Kaela.

"H-His name is Kyrie and he's in kindergarten. Whenever he hits me or makes fun of me, the teacher never say nothing mommy!"

Kyrie? huh? and he's one year younger? and the teachers don't do shit? the fuck goin on around hea?

I never once would ever make my child make someone younger then him bully him. Is you crazy? or just in general you putting ya hands on my son and calling him names?

"Well I gotta go in the school for this bec- NO MOMMY! that's why I didn't wanna tell you! I didn't want you going in embarrassing me in front on my friends!"

Is that what he thinks of me?

All I'm trynna do is protect my kids, but I guess he don't like it. "Regardless I'm still going in to speak. Come on"

Kai knows me well, but why tell me if you know I'ma flip out?

We got out the car as Kalani joined in, heading into the school where kids where coming in and out from. We made our way into the office where we saw some lady in the front.

It was that old lady school counselor. She knew about Kaiyeer since he was a baby. She most definitely had to know some shit.

I cleared my throat preparing myself to tell her what I heard my child say to me. I'm also trynna hear from the muva to this Kuhri or Kyrie child while I'm at it too. Ain't no kid finna mess with mines.
