I walk
I walk barefooted
The earth pressed into my soles
Gently firm soft deepThe soil cool alive
The concrete warm from the sun the heat rising I can see and almost hear like a pulseI walk
I meet sand
It crumbles in between my toesHot
Until the waves meet my ankles and saltwater cools me and it goes in and back to the sea
...At home the tiles hit
Soft and man-made not like my earth which breathes and moves
I head out and the grass tickles my heels life all around my feet
I lay down
And let the grass sink me in
I turn and my dress has green spots all over but I don't care
I am one with the earth
I decided that it's time to dance
letting the earth lead me; it shows me where to step I just have to watch-to protect her and me my solesShe my teacher
Alive and free
I walk
And I find the garden and see the budding of sprouts I make sure to heed carefully not wanting to damage them
Eye level I breath in the scent nothing can compare this is life
Beautiful and pure
My hands and knees cover in black soil with peck of white: tiny rocks I assume living underground. and I imagine a world full of
intersecting and intricate tunnels where the bugs liveA simple life
Work to bring life and die and then become the earth itself
I wonder do they too turn to dust? Like I will like humanity will?
I gently get up and start again my walk
I walk barefooted to feel the life and it cycles though again
The end
