He gets up with this sentence and leaves the table.
I stare at the chair he was sitting on.
Oh Lord how...
We're both staring at the door. He looks around the room for a place to sit. After a few seconds someone two rows behind us on the right side calls him and he makes his way to get the seat.
Only when he sits down Bella turns to me and I see in her eyes that he has far exceeded her expectations.
"OMG Harriet, he looks even better than I thought. Do you think he is single?"
"I hate to agree with you, but you were right when you said he'd be hot. Look at him he is probably in a relationship."
"For his sake I hope not."
"You are nuts chicken leg. Get to know him before you fall head over heels in love with him."
We both laugh.
Mrs.Minti comes into the room and starts with our math class.
The hour passes quite slowly and after a while the courage grabs me and I slowly turn in the direction of the new student. To my surprise I see that he is already looking at me.
I smile shyly at him and he returns the smile. I quickly turn around and concentrate on the task we have to solve.
Bella is so focused the whole lesson she doesn't notice what's going on around her.
If her parents hadn't confiscated her cell phone for two weeks, after she failed the last math test, she would try to flirt with him.
After what felt like an eternity the bell finally rings and I pack my things as fast as possible and run out of the school.
And there he is, standing at his car.

Noah is my best friend of the whole world since I was born. Our parents were friends even before our birth.
We're an inseparable team.
Unfortunately, we don't go to the same school but as soon as I finish my school day, he stands outside waiting for me.
"Hey Cutie Patootie, I missed you the whole day. How was your day?" He says while smiling brightly.
When I come to a halt in front of him, he pulls me into a warm embrace.
Noah is the most cheerful person in the world and loves to cuddle me. According to him, I'm like a big heat pillow.
"We have a new exchange student now and he is really good looking."
"Does he have crush potential?" He says with a smirk now.
"I'm honest I would get to know him and if his character is just as good as his look, I wouldn't say no to him. But I've seen Bella's face, and I know that before I even had a chance, he's is already wrapped around her finger." I say while laughing a bit.
"Then just be faster than her. Go back inside and ask for his number."
Noah has often tried to set me up with someone but I always thankfully declined and said that I would rather spend my time with him and my other friends than to put my happiness to the test just to end up with a broken heart, an addiction to Ben&Jerry's Karamel Sutra Core and a month-long marathon of the big bang theory.
Although the last two things don't sound too bad.
"I don't want to ruin her chance, and I've known this guy just for one day. I can't even say I know him because I haven't even spoken to him. Forget about it for now and get in the car before I'm eating you alive because I'm too hungry to wait until we arrive at McDonalds."
"Of course, my lady." He opens the door for me and winks.
"Thank you, my lord."
I get in and he goes to the driver's site and sits himself behind the steering wheel.

After 30 minutes and eternal waiting in the McDrive we finally arrive at my house.
It is a modern two-story house.
I live here with my mother which I see when I'm lucky before school and late in the evening, because as a doctor she has an unpredictable working day.
With my father who is a CEO of a company he founded himself that means he can schedule his own time and goes to work when everyone is at school and calls it a day at the same time school is over, as well with my little sister Ella.
We go to the kitchen and start eating.
"Tomorrow, I have training until 4 pm because the football team has changed their time and you know that we have to share the place with them. Can you pick me up afterwards?"
"Yeah of course."
"Are you gonna watch my game on Friday as well?"
"I would never miss one. Obviously, I'll be your loudest cheerleader."
"More like the most embarrassing one." I say while laughing.
Because the last time, Noah had shouted so loudly that the referee said he need to leave if he didn't tourn his volume down.
After we ate, we sat down in the living room and started watching a couple of movies.

"I have to go now my mom is coming home soon and I'm supposed to make dinner today."
We get up and I walk him to the front door.
"And what do you make?" I ask with a grin because I know that he is not the best cook.
"Noodles with tomato sauce, that can't be too difficult."
"Well good luck and send me a picture afterwards."
Noah hugs me and gives me a kiss on the forehead.
"Have a good night peach."
"Bye, have a good evening."
I close the door behind him and watch out the window as he drives away.
It has become my daily ritual to go for a walk in the nearby forest. So, I run upstairs to my room, put on a sweater and my dark green pair of vans that I only wear in the woods.
