Chapter 26

Fynn's words are buzzing around in my head. Theo had hinted at the game that the relationship between them and their parents was really terrible.

I don't know what exactly happened 2 years ago, but it must have been something bad if he only got his hatred and anger under control since Theo lives with him.

I don't forgive him. But I'm willing to listen to a more detailed explanation and then assess whether I accept his apology or not.

When I got home, I immediately filled Bella in on the news and 20 min. later she arrived at my house.

"I can't believe that you and Fynn see each other so often in privacy. And he motherfucking apologized." She says and stuffs a handful of popcorn into her mouth.

"We don't meet often and I don't spend my free time with him but with Theo. Do you know how he grow up?"

"Not really. Aiden told me that he almost never met with anyone because he took care of his little brother. But that's all I know."

We both talk about it a little more and then start watching a series.

Shortly after 9 o'clock Bella leaves and I write Noah a few messages to which he will reply tomorrow.

I've been lying in my dark room for a while, trying to fall asleep when my phones vibrates and the screen lights up.

Fynn:

It was nice today

I don't know what to reply so I keep it basic.

Me:

Me too

Fynn:

Me too?

Oh, crap I read his message as 'I think it was a nice day'

Apparently, I'm already half asleep.

Me:

I meant : yes

This can't get any better so I turn off my phone and close my eyes.

It's Thursday and because of the notes, Ethan and I got to know each other pretty well. My crush on him growed about 100 sizes.

I like how he always answer with such creativity and asks super interesting questions, that made it so much easier to form a conversation.

I would say he is the person I know the best, except from Noah, even though we never talked this much in person.

We never got the chance to make a walk through the beautiful forest. Because of this I gather my courage and ask him if we want to meet there next week and make a picnic, and maybe put our relationship on the next level.

I would count the few diners we had as a date.

Or would this be our first date?

I take out his note again to answer the new questions. 'Face is burning up, Daisy – Knox Morgan'

I slowly look at Ethan because my face always gets red when I see that there is a new note under the table.
