Chapter 4

°Harriet

After I did what I needed to do, I slip on my shoes, take my things and go out to wait for Noah.

As I reach the end of our driveway, I see a grey Range Rover Sport whizzing down the street and coming to a stop in front of me.

I run to the passenger side, throw my things on the seat in the back and take my spot next to Noah.

"Hey Ladybug, how wa... what the front door happen to your face?"

Never in my life did I hear Noah say any swearword. He prefers to stay calm and ends up saying 'What the front door' instead of 'What the fuck' or 'freaking devil world' instead of 'fucking hell'. Pretty weird I know but that makes him kinda cute.

Explaining my dilemma to him and he starts to laugh hysterically.

"Really? Your plan is to tell someone hit you on the nose?" He asks while still laughing.

Now I doubt if the solution my mom gave me is as good as I thought.

"Do you get a better one?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"The idea is good. I laugh because you have never done such a drama about a pimple."

I look at him and don't say anything. You can make out clearly when he realizes why I'm acting like this.

"Oh, I get it." He smirks.

Noah turns around and looks for something in his backpack on the back seat. He takes out his pencil case and rummage in it until triumphantly picking up a black pen.

"What are you doing?"

"I'll write my name on the adhesive bandage and when the new guy asks what happened, you say I hit you and hopefully you'll get closer because he feels sorry for you and tries to protect you from further attacks. You always say protective book boyfriends are the best, so find yourself a real one then."

At first, he acted like a mother who gave her daughter outdated dating tips whenever I said to him, I saw a guy who looked cute. But now, Noah has evolved from Pikachu to Raichu, and his new tactic is to play my wingman.

"Honestly, that's sounds pretty ridiculous and - ."

Without letting me finish talking, he takes my face, pulls the cap off the pen with his mouth and starts writing.

I don't even bother to fight him because first of all Noah is much stronger than me and secondly because he needs for the 4 letters just as long as I need to even get the thought to get him somehow away from my face.

"Done." He says with a satisfied smile.

I open the mirror from the sun protection and study his artwork.

It doesn't look too bad. I'm glad that he has an ordinary handwriting.

Now you could really think someone signed his masterpiece after I lost a bet and my reward was a punch in the face.

"Thanks Picasso."

He starts the engine and I get my phone out of my pocket to search a song for the ride. Since we are both fans of twenty one pilots, my choice falls on fairly local and we both start singing.

After a short ride we arrive at my school.

We both get out. I open the back door to get my stuff.

Noah approaches and takes me in his arms.
