Chapter 34°Fynn
We reach the entrance gate and slowly my nervousness starts. I don't know what it's like to have a guest at home.
Will she like it?
Why would I care if she likes it?
But will she like it?
Harriet sits in the back next to Theo and he hasn't stopped talking about the fact that no one has ever been allowed to come home with us.
We drive to the garage and I look thorough the rear-view mirror, to capture her reaction. She looks at the house with big eyes and her mouth slightly agape.
As soon as we enter, she starts her questions.
"You both live here? Alone?" She says surprised.
I nod with a small smile.
"How?" I look at her a bit confused.
Is it this ugly?
I thought it looked decent
"How can you afford all of this?"
Oh
"I'll explain it another time."
Maybe
Theo comes back from taking his shoes off and grabs Harriets hand. She quickly takes off her Vans as well and puts them neatly next to the wall.
"Come! My room is upstairs." He says and starts running.
We reach his room and he bursts the door open.
"Wow." Harriets says and looks around.
I'm very proud of how Theo's place turned out. It took me a long time to arrange all of this.
Theo loves the jungle book and all the animals that are presented in it. That's why the whole room has a jungle theme. The walls have trees and leaves on it. Most of the furniture is a dark green or brown. There are some rope elements and the whole place is packed with stuffed animals.
On the left is a staircase which leads to a platform, that runs along the wall to the other side of the room. To get back down, you're able to use a slide. Next to the slide is his bed and on the other side is a shelf with books and toys. In the middle of the room is a hanging chair.
The only thing I'm grateful to my parents for, is that they have enough money to not care if I take some of it.
"How did you come up with this idea. It looks wonderful. I wish my room looked like that as a kid." Asks Harriet, while Theo gathers all his stuffies so he can introduce them to her.

Theo is watching some TV while Harriet and I are cooking lunch.
"Can I look around the house later?"
She looks at me a bit uncomfortable as if she hates herself for letting that question leave her mouth.
"Sure, I can show you around. How was your day? What happened yesterday?"
"Today was ok. I had the conversation with Bella yesterday but it didn't go well. How was your day."
The mention of yesterday reminds me of something.
"Wait, we will continue this conversation in a minute." I run into the living room and look in a drawer for Theo's picture that he painted for Harriet.
"You haven't given Harriet your painting yet, T." He looks at me with wide eyes
