Donte: 14 / Jay: 34

Donte: what lesson we got?
Diego: er science with Mead
Donte: i need to get my report real quick I'll see you there
Diego: nah it's fine I have to get mine too
Donte: alright
We walked to the office to get our reports
Mr: Chambers: Diego get to lesson. Donte I need to talk to you.
Donte: about
Mr Chambers: your targets
Diego: see ya Donte
Mr chambers: as you can see you have 5 targets instead of the usual 3. This is so we can improve your plan to help you in lessons. The plan needs to be updated as the one we have is from middle school
Donte: okay so what are the targets this time?
Mr Chambers: The first 3 are the same as usual 1) Don't get distracted. 2) Complete all work to the best of my ability 3) don't be late. The extra ones are 4) follow all instructions 5) Stay in class- Don't walk out
Donte: okay cool
Mr Chambers: I want you to try and get at least 4 ticks each lesson today.
Donte: I'll try
Mr Chambers: me and Miss Jackson would like to speak to you and your dad tonight at the conference
Donte: okay I'll tell him
Mr Chambers: right okay how bout you head to lesson. I'll right you a note saying you were with me.
I took the note and report and headed to science
Donte: sorry im late sir
I gave him the note and my report.
Mr Mead: it's fine sit down
I took a seat next to Diego
Diego: so what did he want?
Donte: walk me through my targets and that he wanted to speak to my dad tonight
Diego: damn your probably gonna be in deep shit
Donte: I don't know he was kinda nice to me
Diego: damn
Donte I know right
Mr Mead: boys pay attention please
Both: sorry
We began talking again.
Mr Mead: right Donte go sit over there
Donte: why am I the one moving?
Mr Mead: cause you are now move
Donte: fine
I went and sat down on the other side of the class
Mr Mead: right class today we are gonna be learning about the different types of cell. I want you all to write notes on what I'm saying. So we have eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. Eukaryotic cells are cells that have a nucleus. Animal, plant and fungi are examples of this. Prokaryotic cells don't have a 'true' nucleus. An example of this is bacteria.
I wrote this down and zoned out for most of the lesson. I was tapping my hands against my seat and bouncing my leg. I then tapped my pencil against the table playing a beat to the imaginary song in my head.
Mr Mead: Donte repeat what I said
Donte: er this lesson is boring?
Everyone started laughing
Mr Mead: enough. Pay attention.
Donte: sorry
I tried to concentrate but I couldn't. I took my meds this morning but they just aren't helping. I stood up and sat back next to Diego.
Mr Mead: Donte back to your seat
Donte: but Diego is helping me
Mr Mead: if you need help put your hand up and I'll help you
Donte: thanks for the offer but I don't want your help.
Mr Mead: hold your book up and lemme see how much work you've done
I held up Diego's book seeing as he actually did the work.
Mr Mead: I know that's Diego's
He walked over to where I was sat and looked at my book
Mr Mead: not good enough
Donte: I really didn't ask
Mr Mead: keep your comments to yourself
Donte: maybe
The lesson finally ended. Mr Mead handed me my report.
Mr Mead: I expected better today
Donte: sorry
Mr Mead: fresh start next lesson.
Report:
1) don't get distracted
2) Complete all work to the best of my ability
3) don't be late
4) follow all instructions
5) Stay in class- Don't walk out
Comments: did well at the start of lesson but soon got distracted and lost focus. Being disruptive and distracting other students. Unsatisfactory work. Inappropriate and disrespectful comments.
Diego: how's the report?
Donte: shit. Yours?
Diego: good
Donte: what we got next?
Diego: English with Mr Davies
Donte: ah shit
Diego: let's go
We made our way to English.
Both: sorry we're late
We handed our reports and sat down.
Mr Davies: so today we're gonna be doing descriptive writing
Fuck. The one thing I find impossible. This is gonna be the death of me.
Donte: sir can we work in pairs?
Mr Davies: No it's individual work. Look at the picture I gave you and either describe the picture or write a story based on the picture. Everyone has a different picture so there would be no copying. Right I want you to spend 20 minutes planning.
