Chapter 38

Carinas POV

I'm back in school today and wish I was still suspended, school is stupid and I'm tired and would much rather be in bed with Maya

On top of it all I started my period in the middle of the night which always makes me emotional anyway

I got to school on time but there were already people in class so I couldn't talk to Maya this morning besides our normal "good morning" text

I just sighed and sat down at my seat with my head on the table

"You good?" Arizona ask me and I shake my head

"I'm dying" I tell her and she looked alarmed

"What?" She ask and I sigh and turn to her

"My stomach is just crampy" I sigh and she does the same

"Did you take anything?" She ask and I shake my head just as the bell rings and Maya waste no time in talking about the assignments and the plan for today

I heard a little of what she said, something about reading things and we have to write a few papers which is all

I was still in pain and just stayed hunched over because it was the only way I wouldn't be crying my eyes out

I felt my phone vibrate so I took it out and checked to see Maya had texted me

Maya: What's going on? Are you okay?

I didn't respond to her and cut my phone off, she did not like that

"Deluca! Head off the table" she says and I groan and look up at her, she was just glaring at me so I did the same to her

I ignored her and laid my head back down, I was almost asleep when Maya came back to me and crouched next to me desk

"I gave you a chance to tell me what was wrong, now you have detention." She says, tapping my desk as she walks away

"Can I use the bathroom?" I ask her after she walks away and she just nods so I grabbed my things and walked out and to the library, the bell was almost going to ring anyway so I didn't worry about going back to Mayas

I think something is wrong, I mean yea I always have painful periods but this is different. This hurts so much.

I decided on skipping the rest of my classes and I stayed in the library  and just caught up on missing work anyway

When the lunch bell rang I wasn't hungry so I just went to the bathroom and returned the library and got on my phone,

I didn't text Maya back I just stayed and scrolled through tik tok until the Librarian came over to me

"You skipped your classes" she tells me and I sigh

"I know... do you want me to leave?" I ask her and she smiles

"No hun, you can stay as long as you'd like. You're no trouble at all" she smiles and puts a hand on my shoulder

"If you need anything come find me" she says and walks away

She's super nice, might just always skip my classes and come here

When the bell for dismissal rang I waited a few minutes for the hallways to clear before walking to Mayas classroom

She was sitting behind her computer with glasses on, she almost never wears them, and never with the rest of the class in here.

She looks absolutely amazing in them but she's self conscious In them

She didn't look up at me but I have found myself in this position so many times I just sat down at a desk in the front

"What do you want me to do?" I ask Maya, my head was hurting and I just wanted to go to sleep

"Honestly? I don't even have a plan right now, just sit for a second" she sighs and rubs her temples

"Are you okay?" I ask her and she nods.

"Just a headache" she responds

"I think we should just skip and go to your house and lay down... I don't feel good either" I say and she smiles softly

"As much as I would love that no. You know I don't slack on detention" she says and I groan

"How about you just spank me and we call it even?" I ask and she chuckles

"I'm starting to think you actually liked it" she says and I shrug

"Wasn't bad... wouldn't mind it again" i say honestly, if I could just get over the embarrassment but I have a feeling that's part of the punishment

"We'll see, but for now, for this, no. Just do your work silently and we can leave" she says and I nod and start

A few minutes later she spoke up again

"Carina.... Why is your phone not on my desk?" She ask me and I roll my eyes

"Seriously?" I ask and she just raises one of her eyebrows, I hate when she does that

I just groaned and gave her my phone and seen her look at it

"What are you doing?" I ask her

"Just looking for something" she says and I roll my eye and sit down,

It's not like I have anything to hide from her,

I just laid my head down on the desk and kept my arm over my stomach

Mayas POV

I was just teasing carina earlier about her phone, but when I looked back at her, her head was on her desk

She really must not be feeling well, she's so protective over her phone typically

I let her go and finished grading some papers, I had a really bad headache too all day.

When the hour was up I was so ready to go home,

"Carina, you ready to head out?" I ask while grabbing my things, she didn't respond so I looked up and she still hadn't moved from her spot

I walked over to her and rubbed her back softly

"Hey... it's time to go" I say and she sits up and sighs

"You doing okay?" I ask and she nods

"It's just my period" she sighs and gets up and grabs her bag

"We must spend to much time together because I started mine this morning" I chuckle, trying to get her to smile and she does, barely

"Are you coming over?" I ask her and we walk out of the school, her car is here so she can't leave with me even if I allowed that

"Is that okay?" She ask and I nod

"Then yes, I have to run home to get things but I'll be there after" she tells me and I nod

"Okay see you soon" I say and we go in our different directions

When I got home I immediately took some pain killers and decided to shower before carina got here

I wanted us to be Able to relax and so I could help her feel better

I got dressed in a long T-shirt and shorts and got my heating blanket out of the closet. I get hot at night so I never use it but I know it will help carina, especially since she's always cold

I made sure to have it out on the couch when she got here, I also decided that if she wanted a glass of wine I would let her have one, but she would not be having more than that

She should be here soon so I just sat on the couch to see if I could just relax a little
