Chapter 42

Mayas POV

Why, why did I think it would be easy to get carina in the car before 6?

I have everything loaded up for our weekend away, everything but her. I've tried so many times to wake her up and my next plan is to just carry her out

"Carina... you need to get up quick, you can go back to sleep in the car" I tell her and she groans

"But I'm sleepy" she complains and covers her head up

"Carina please" I tell her and she rolls over and looks at me and puts her arms out

"Carry me" she says and I glare at her

"Are you serious?" I ask and she nods, her arms still in the air

"You're so lucky I love you" I say and she smiles with her eyes closed

"Come on" i chuckle and she helps me as I lift her into my arms and she laid her head again my shoulder and I could feel her smile into my neck

"You are trouble" I chuckle and walk out to the car with her

"Carina I can't open the car door" I chuckle and she groans but stands up

Once she got in I locked the house door and got back into the car so we could leave and carina had already pulled a blanket from the backseat and covered herself up with it and reclined the seat

"Really?" I ask and she smiles

"Shh trying to keep my sleepiness" she says and I just let her be and start the drive

I'm lucky to have this relationship, I know it could be deemed wrong, I thought it was too, but the love I have for her is so strong

There isn't anything I wouldn't do for her,

Even if she is more in love with her sleep than she is with me

I know even if she sleeps the entire ride she is going to be tired when we get there so I payed for the early check in and don't have anything planned for today so we can just get settled into the hotel and she can rest, I'll probably even go to the gym, I have been slacking on going because carina likes to wake up with me and she is over most nights

I had my AirPods in playing music since I didn't want to wake carina up,

"I'm hungry" I heard carina say about two hours later

"God you scared the shit out of me" I say and she just laughs

"But I really am hungry, starving even" she tells me

"Starving? Really?" I ask and she nods

"You should have gotten up when I told you to, then you could have eaten breakfast" I say teasingly and she groans

"Maya!" She complains and I laugh

"I'll get off the next exit and we can find a place for breakfast " I tell her and place my hand on her leg as i continued to drive

It didn't take long for an exit to come up so I took that and carina gave me directions for a place she wanted to go to

"I'm so sleepy" she says and I laugh

"Carina  you slept all night and we're just sleeping" I say and she shrugs

"But I can sleep all the time" she says and I smile and holds my hand

When we pulled up to an abandoned looking diner I thought she was joking but she was getting ready to get out of the car

"You sure about this?" I ask her and she nods

"Yea, look there's no one here" she says and I  hesitantly get out of the car and follow her inside

The inside wasn't as bad as the outside was so I was thankful for that, as long as the food looked edible

We sat down together and carina leaned her head on me

"I want you to know that I'm very thankful for this Trip" Carina says and I smile

"I wanted to do something, we have never been out together and it's not fair to you. Now we only have a semester until you graduate and we won't have to worry about it" I say and she smiles

"I don't care about that, I care about being able to be with you," she says and I nod

"I know, but still" I say

"Maya I love you, I love everything about you. You don't need to worry about anything" she says

Between carina and I, I'm typically the more dominant one and the one who is comforting her, but I love that carina is there for me All the time as well

Our relationship is different and is not seen as a good thing In many peoples eyes for a number of reasons, our age differences, the fact that we're both women and, I'm her professor, it's not normal

And if you would have told me a year ago I would catch feelings for my student I would have laughed in your face, but now, I'm so lucky I did

Not many people would understand but they don't have to, it's not for them

Carina sat by me as we ate our breakfast, I have a feeling she will fall asleep again in the car but it's only two more hours

"You want me to drive?" Carina ask after we had finished breakfast

"That wouldn't work, you don't know where we are going" I chuckle and got into the driver seat

"Fine; I offered" she smiles and gets comfortable in her seat again

"Mm sure did" I say and she just smiles over at me and gets on her phone

"Did you let your parents know you were going out of town?" I ask her, it's odd to be asking my girlfriend if her parents know where she is but here we are

"Yes mommy, I told them" she smirks and I roll my eyes

"This again?" I ask and she nods

"You love it" she tells me and I laugh

"Do not" I say and she laughs

"You so do, you like it when I call you mommy... or mistress even" she smirks and I groan and look away from her

"God you're so Trouble" I say again and she just smiles to herself and scrolls on her phone

She is going to be the death of me

We finally got to the hotel and like carina I'm tired now too, I hate driving long distances

We grabbed our things and I got us checked into the hotel while she spent her time looking around everything,

"Maya it's beautiful" she says and I smile and take her hand to lead her to the elevators

"Wait till you see our room" I say and she squeezes my hand three times

When we got to our floor she followed behind me to our room and waited patiently as I unlocked the door,

Once inside her jaw dropped and I couldn't help but smile

The room itself was huge, there was a king size bed right in the middle, done with rose petals all around it.

The room also had a large jacuzzi tub as well as a balcony that looked over the city

But my favorite feature of all... was the mirror on the ceiling above the bed

"Maya" she chuckles and points to the mirror

"Oh... hmm... didn't know that was there"
