Mayas POV

I know carina talked to her mom and I'm assuming it didn't go to well. As soon as we got back to my place she climbed in my lap. I knew she wouldn't want to talk so we put on a movie and carina fell asleep not even half an hour later

I messed up when I was ignoring her, I shouldn't have done that and I know that now. Before carina I didn't want a relationship. And I didn't even want one in the beginning with carina but here we are

It's messy, it's so messy but I love her and I wouldn't want to change it

She's still asleep in my arms , at first I hated how she could fall asleep anywhere because she chose my classroom most of the time, but I've learned to love it

It was getting late and I knew we needed to order or make dinner soon and she would have to wake up,

And I know we need to have a conversation because a lot of things happened and we kind of already jumped back into things

I picked up my phone and placed an order for Mexican, it's one of her favorites,

As soon as I placed the order I put my phone down and began to wake up carina, I didn't want to her to be too drowsy when the food arrived

"Carina baby... wake up my love" I whisper and rub her stomach under her shirt

"No, Leave me alone" she grumbles and I smile

"I ordered food... we got to get up before it gets here" I say and she groans

"Maya! Stop it" she complains and I just laugh again and pepper kisses all over her face until she smiles and sits up

"Bambina! No more" she laughs and I smile, all I could do is look in her eyes, her beautiful eyes.

"What did you order?" She ask with a smile and I chuckle

"Mexican" i say and she kisses me quickly

"Ahh I love you" she smiles and kisses me again before getting off of my lap completely

I watched as she walked back the hall and I smiled. I really hope our conversations later go okay

Carina came out just as the food arrived, she of course beat me to the door and got the food herself and placed it on the table

We ate in comfortable silence, I was honestly just enjoying her presence, it's been so long.

After we ate I decided now is the time I should apologize, I figured I needed to do it soon anyhow

"I'm sorry. I- when you told me you were leaving I was pissed yea, but I was also really  sad. I told you I didn't want a relationship but you're amazing and changed my opinion. So when you told me you were leaving I was... I just didn't want to lose you" I admit, carina just looked at me for a few seconds before speaking

"Maya I understand. I do. I'm upset that you ignored me. You should not have done that" she says and I nod because she was right

"You're right. I shouldn't have. And trust me, Andy got on me about that so many times" I say and she smiles softly

"I called my mama, I told her I wanted to stay so I wouldn't be coming to Italy. She told me that I had until graduation then I was cut off" she says and I reach across the table so I could take hold of her hand

"I'm sorry" I say again; it seemed like the only thing I could say

"Don't be. You make me happy, you love me and that's all I need. I know if my mama found out I was dating a girl she would have already disowned me" she says and I frown

"I do love you." I tell her, I could tell she needed a little reassurance

"I know... I love you too. I just.... You can't ignore me Maya. No more. I don't care what happens but you can never ignore Me" she says seriously and I nod

"Okay... never again." I tell her, and I meant that

I know ignoring her was wrong but I don't know if I was doing it to hurt her, or protect myself, I think it was to protect me. And I know it's not her fault but her leaving just brought up a bunch of stuff and it hurt

"You know.... Nicole has been messaging me a lot this past month, Kai really misses you" I tell Carina, I wanted to lighten our conversation a little and It seemed to work because she smiled

"Oh my god can we see him soon? He's the cutest little baby I have ever seen" she smiles and I chuckle

"He's not a baby!" I exclaim and she laughs

"Is so!, and he likes me" she shrugs and I just smile Ana shake my head

"This weekend?" I ask her and she nods

"Thank you" she says and I nod, I got up and took our leftovers and put them away while carina leaned against the counter

I went to walk past her and she just gripped my shirt and pulled me into her. Her lip's immediately found mine and to say I was confused would be an understatement; but none the less I kissed her back

I knew she was trying to deepen the kiss but I wasn't sure if we were ready for that, I didn't know if I was ready

I pulled away and just kept my hands on her waist

"Maya," she whispers and I kiss her head before just pulling her close to me, she easily got herself as close to me as she could and laid her head against my chest

"I'm sorry" she says in a whisper and I sigh

"Come on" I say softly and the two of us to the couch and i sat down before pulling carina in between my legs and threw a cover over us

"I love you" I tell her and kiss her head

"I just, I think we should take it slow" I say and run my fingers through her hair and she sighs

"How slow? Maya I know things are rocky but, come on" she says and I laugh

"Oh god it feels like the beginning again" I say and carina rolls her eyes

"Oh are you gonna be mean again?" She ask and I laugh

"I was never mean!" I exclaim and she laughs and sits up

"Yes you were!" She says and I smile,

She was right, this did feel like the old times and I wanted nothing more than for us to get back to that, I think we can, I think we're gonna be okay, we're both committed to this relationship and I don't think we're going to have a problem

"I love you" Carina says and puts one of her hands on my face softly and I lean in and connect our lips, letting them move softly against each other,

We both poured a months worth of kisses and love into that kiss, I knew neither of us wanted to pull apart but we did, just a little. She rested her head against mine and I used my hand to put her hair behind her ear

" I love you"
