Chapter 40

Mayas POV

We're a month into the new semester now and carina is a lot happier, I helped her with her grade last semester, although it wasn't anything high, it was still passing

Now though she's doing fine, but she also knows that it's her responsibility to keep up with it all

School is actually out for a long weekend and since it's Valentine's Day I'm taking her out for a little trip, that she still has no idea about

We have never been able to go out as a couple and it's not fair for her to be stuck inside all the time

So, with our four day weekend I'm taking her out of town for a few nights

I also got us candy reservations for a restaurant I researched as well as a hotel room with a jacuzzi

We're leaving tomorrow morning so she's staying with me tonight

I just left school and am now meeting Nicole, Kai and Meredith,

Meredith is just about two months old, but I don't do babies, Kai is still eh but babies? No way.

They are too tiny and fragile and can break

Nicole has texted and said that Kai wanted to see me, I haven't seen him since carina and I gave him his Christmas presents, but to be honest I'm not used to having someone who wants to constantly see me, minus carina of course

When I got to their house I told carina I would message her when I left since I'm picking her up

I couldn't even get to the door before Kai came running out and jumping into my arms, it's funny because carina does the same thing if I'm laying down

"Auntie Maya! You're here!" He smiles and I chuckle and walk to the door where Nicole was standing

"He has been very eager to see you" she smiles and we walk into the house

"It's been so long!" He tells me and I smile

"I guess it has been huh?" I say and he nod's seriously

"Can we play outside?" Kai ask me and Nicole

"It's too cold" Nicole says and he pouts

"Please?" He ask, turning his attention to me

"Sorry bub, your mommy said no" I say and he frowns even more but doesn't argue so I sit on the floor with him but he doesn't get out of my lap

"Where's Rina? Hers coming too?" He ask me

"No she's at home now" I say and he stands up

"I want to go to your house" he says and grabs my hand

"To see Rina" he tells me, finishing his thought

"Carinas not at my house.. she's at her house" I try explaining to him

"But... same house?" He ask confused

"Kai, Auntie Maya and carina don't live together, they live in their own house" Nicole says but I think it just confused him even more

"But hers was there... remember? When I was with you?" He ask me and I smile

"I do remember, carina stays with me sometimes but she has her own home, like when you stayed but you live here with mommy and daddy" I say and he sits on the floor

"Oh... but mommy and daddy live here, and rina No live with you" he states and I nod

"I think rina should live with you and me" he says causing me and Nicole to start laughing

"You think so?" I smile and he nods

"We can go get her?" He ask me

"She's busy right now, I promise I will bring her to see you again" I say and he smiles

I stayed to talk and play with Kai for about an hour and let me tell you, that was an adventure, at one point he asked me where babies came from and how his sister got out of his mommy's tummy, too many questions

Carinas POV

I'm so excited to go away with Maya this weekend, we have never been out together as a couple so I have been looking forward for this all week

She won't tell me where we are going though, she just told me to pack a bag for the long weekend

I left my bag at the door and Maya told me she was almost here so I ran upstairs to grab her valentines present I almost forgot

I grabbed it and quickly went back down the steps to wait for her

I had just told my mama that I was staying with a friend for the weekend and she really didn't care, not much different from when I go to work

Maya soon pulled up and texted me so I quickly grabbed my things and left the house, so ready to spend the whole weekend with her

I put my bags in the back seat and got in front, quickly giving Maya a kiss before she drove off

"How was visiting Kai?" I ask her and she laughs

"Oh he was full of questions today, and really wants to see you" she says and I smile and put my hand on her leg as she drove

"We should go visit then" I say and she nods

"I told him I would take you to see him, don't worry" she smiles and I lean over and kiss her shoulder before laying my head back on my seat

"What time are we leaving tomorrow?" I ask her,

"I want to be on the road by 6" she says and I quickly look at her to see if she was kidding

"You're joking right?" I ask and she shakes her head

"Maya! That's too early" I groan and she chuckles

"You can go back to sleep once we're in the car"
She says and I smile

"You're so good to me" I say and she laughs and rolls her eyes

"You should consider yourself lucky" she says

"Oh of course, you to myself all the time? Amazing, being the only one in class that knows what you look like naked? Even better" I smirk

"Whenever you teach boring things, which is all the time, I always just picture you naked.... Makes me a lot happier" I say and she laughs

"Carina you're horrible" she tells me and I just smile

When we got to Mayas she told me to leave my stuff in her car so it would already be there for our trip

We got inside and and if I'm being honest I just want a nap, well, if I'm really being honest I always want to

"Im so excited for this weekend... thank you" I tell Maya and lay on the couch immediately, I have claimed this spot

"I think you should get naked for me" I smile, resting my chin on my hand while watching her take her jacket of to hang up

"You would like that wouldn't you?" She smirks

"Mm I so so would" I tell her and she just chuckles and rolls her eyes

"Please mommy? Take your clothes off" I smirk and Maya comes over to me and I roll over on my back just as she hovers over me

"How about.... You take your clothes off.. up" Maya says. Kissing my lips and standing up straight to allow me to get up

"Strip"
