I Don't Do Disrespect (Marina)

Chapter 58

Mayas POV

We stayed over at Nicole's for longer than we had originally planned, it was dark now and we were just pulling into carinas driveway.

I'm exhausted and ready to just lay in bed with Carina, something  I'm glad to be able to do forever now

"Wait... whose that?" I ask carina, as soon as we got to the top of her driveway I noticed there was a new car in the driveway,

"I- I actually don't know" she tells me, sitting up straight in the seat to look

"I have never seen that car before" she says and I frown, why would there be some random person in carinas house?

I parked my car right next to the other car, there wasn't anyone in it so now I was worried about someone being in her house

"Let me go in and see first" I tell Carina and she shakes her head

"No way, I'm coming too" she says and gets out of the car and I groan, why can't she ever listen

"And what if there's someone in there? You can't just go in without knowing!" I exclaim and grab her hand, pulling her close to me

"Maya I'm fine... we'll go together" she says and squeezes my hand before kissing my lips

"Fine! But if I tell you to run then run" I say and she chuckles quietly,

While carina was still holding onto my hand I lead us into the house, I didn't hear anything when we went in, carina said to check the kitchen first so that's where I went, again nothing

We checked the entire first floor before going upstairs, the light in her bedroom was on and I knew that I turned it off before we left

"Please stay" I tell Carina and she sighs and mumbles something under her breath

"Maya if someone was in here trying to kill us they would have already done it" she replies and I just roll my eyes and walk into her bedroom, there was a girl in there looking out her window,  her hair was the same texture as carinas and she stood maybe an inch taller

"I was wondering how long it would take you" she says and carina squeezes my hand making me look at her

"I'm sorry" she whispers before turning her attention back to the woman in the room

"Mama... what are you doing here?" Carina ask and i mentally face palm myself, of course it's her mother, of course

"This is my house carina" she says and turns around to face us with her arms crossed across her chest, Carina is a splitting image of her mother

"Yes but- you're supposed to be in Italy mama" Carina sighs and the women nods

"Sí, I wanted to come see the condition of my house.... Who is this?" Her mother ask; talking like I'm not even in the room

"She's my- my friend mama" Carina says and looks at me worriedly, I know she doesn't want to come out to her parents yet and I completely support that. I will never force her to do something like that so for the time being I'm perfectly okay with being her friend

"Hmm La conosco" she says and carina shakes her head

{I know her}

"No you don't" she says and her mother just hums

"I have to go look into some things, I leave in a few days for Italy. I will see you in the morning" carinas mom nods to us before walking out

"What was that about?" I ask her, she walked over and shut and locked her door and I grabbed her waist to pull her into me

"She says she knows you" Carina says and I feel my face pale, if that were true she can ruin my career

"I have never seen her before" I whisper and carina nods

"I think she is just bluffing.... Can we stay at your place tonight?" Carina ask me while hiding her face into me chest

"Yea baby that's fine. Get some clothes and we'll go" I say and kiss her head. I know we were supposed to stay here but I'm betting she just wants to be away from her mom,

Once carina got her bag I kissed her lips gently before the two of us split apart so we could leave

We made it down the stairs before Carinas mom came out and started talking

"Where are you going?" She ask

"I'm going to Mayas, I'll be home in the morning mama" she says

" I need to speak with you" her mother says and carina just turns to me

"I'll be in the car" I tell Carina and she nods, I almost went to kiss her and thankfully I didn't.

Carinas POV

I honestly can't believe my mother did not tell me she was coming, even Andrea could have sent a heads up

Now I stood in the entrance way after watching Maya leave,

"Are you dating her?" My mother ask and I scoff,

"Really mama? She is a friend, am I not allowed to have friends now?" I ask and she just looks at me suspiciously

"I don't believe you" she tells me and I sigh

"We'll how is that my problem?" I ask, maybe I shouldn't speak to my mother this way but... too late

"Carina!" My mama scolds and I sigh once again, I just want to be with Maya

However.... I suppose Maya would have done the same thing in this position... who knows

"Mama please, I just want to go spend the night with my friend" I say and she sighs

"Carina she better not be anything more than a friend, if I find our otherwise you're going to be sorry" she says and I don't say anything else,

I knew my family, especially my mama wouldn't approve, but I guess just hearing her out loud made it more real,

I knew not to say anything else to my mama, it wouldn't help the situation, I just grabbed my bag off the floor and walked out the front door,

Maya and I are happy, we're at a good place, I don't want my mama to ruin it for us

When I got into Mayas car she didn't say anything, she just placed her hand on my thigh and started the drive back to her house

When we got there she grabbed my bag and my hand as we walked to the door, after getting inside she disappeared to her room and came back out

"What did your mom have to say?" She ask me as she leads me to the couch, she of course sat down first and pulled me softly so that I was now sitting in her lap

"Just that you better not be more than a friend" I tell her and she kisses my head

"Well, while she is here I don't mind being your friend" Maya tells me and I frown and turn around in her lap and lay flat against her

"I don't know what to do.... I honestly just hope she goes home soon. I love her, she's my mom. But, she's just too much" I explain and Maya nods

"You decide love, anything you want to do is fine." She assured me and I smile and kiss her neck three times,

"We'll figure it out babe, don't worry too much"
