In a flash, the axe was brought up. The handle used to block Frisk's attack. On the other side of the handle was the smug grin of the skeleton. Frisk pushed against the handle with their free arm and tried to quickly move the dagger down to stab underneath the axe handle, but as soon as they moved their hand down, Gloom spun the axe handle, hitting their hand, blocking the second attack before shoving forward which knocked Frisk back.
"Heh, not bad, kiddo, that would have gotten anybody else, that quick second attack," Gloom twirled the axe in her hand before firmly putting the handle down on the ground and holding it like a staff, the blade facing out to the side.
Frisk steadied themself before staring into the skeleton's glowing eye. Their hand stung where it had been hit with the handle, but Frisk ignored it.
The skeleton took a long drag on her cigarette before twisting to stretch her back. Frisks attention was grabbed by the headphone wires being swung around before looked at the headphones that the skeleton was wearing. Has she even been able to hear anything? How does a skeleton wearing headphones even wor- Frisk's thought was cut off as something flew at their head. Frisk ducked and looked at what had flown at them before they saw another flash coming at the side of their head from Gloom.
Pain shot through Frisk's head as something collided with it, and their vision went black for a split second before they quickly looked back and saw things floating around Gloom. It was hard to tell what they were in the dazed state Frisk was knocked into, but something told them that they had to dodge whatever it was. At once, all the floating objects around Gloom flew at a fast speed in Frisk's direction, which made them try to jump out of the way, but some of the objects made contact with their chest. Pain shot through Frisk as they were knocked back out of the alleyway by the projectiles and onto their back. Frisk quickly raised their arms to protect their head as some of the projectiles hit them. Frisk then saw what the objects were. They were bones. Frisk's head spun as they tried to blocked most of the bones that flew at them.
Frisk heard a tsking sound coming from the alleyway and looked to see Gloom shaking her head and walking closer.
"You never get distracted or let your guard down in a fight, dumbass. That's how you get yourself killed," Gloom's spoke, her voice, laced with disapproval and annoyance, made Frisk's blood boil with anger.
Frisk quickly got up and sneered at the skeleton, which seemed to take her off guard.
"One thing though, you've got the spunk in you to fight still even though you're head is fucked up," Gloom looked at Frisk with curiosity and slight approval while her head tilted to the side. Frisk felt her look them up and down which made them tense up.
Frisk spat some of the blood they had in their mouth onto the pavement before looking back toward Gloom which caused her to smirk.
"Let's see if you've got your head in the game now or if your skull is too 'rattled'," she snickered a little under her breath as she lifted her free hand, bones being formed above it on command.
The bones flew at an extreme speed towards Frisk, who used their arms to block some of them before jumping out of the way of others. Frisk felt the ground shake and looked down to see it cracking. Frisk jumped away just as long, sharp bones shot out of the ground where Frisk had just been standing before returning back into the ground.
"Good move," Gloom said approvingly.
Frisk looked up just in time to see a wall of bones coming at them and was able to jump over it right, before it hit them before looking back at the skeleton.
Gloom tilted her head the other way, an amused look in her eye as she snapped her fingers. "Watch your back," Frisk turned quickly at the words and jumped out of the way of another wall made of bones. Frisk turned again and jumped out of the way of another row that came at them from the opposite direction.
Frisk felt the strange grip on their chest as they were lifted into the air by seemingly nothing. Immediately, they looked down at the skeleton, which was lifting their fist up in the air.
"Let's see how good at blocking you are," the skeletons eye went dark as bones quickly materialized and flew at an impressive speed towards Frisk.
Using the dagger, Frisk knocked several of the bones out of the way and tried to use their other arm to block their chest.
Frisk saw the quick motion of Gloom jerking their hand down and were sent flying down with it. Frisk nearly fell when they hit the ground and the force of impact on their legs nearly caused them to fail which got a snicker out of Gloom.
Frisk felt the gripping feeling leave their chest and they ran at the skeleton with their arm outstretched.
Gloom easily slid out of the way and her eye lit up again as the used her axe as a pivot. She winked, a smug look in her eyes. She seemed to wear that look. Frisk thought bitterly as they swung at the skeleton again. Frisk's vision went dark for a second which made them hesitate and when it cleared, Gloom was gone. Frisk stared at where the skeleton once stood, confused at what happened. A cloud of smoke hit the back of Frisk's head and when they whipped around, they were immediately slammed in the head with the axe handle causing them to fall.
"Heh, you should have seen the look on your face," the skeleton cackled as she looked down at Frisk on the ground, writhing in pain.
Frisk tried to push themself back up but was pushed back down by Gloom's foot pinning their chest to the ground.
"It was nice fighting you, human, but this little game is over," Gloom raised the axe above her head while her eyes went dark.
Frisk's heart felt like it was going to explode from hard it was beating as they closed their eyes and braced themself, waiting for the axe to be brought down.
