Everybody was cheering and I was just admiring my crown. I badly wanted my family to be here with me, me and my mother had many problems with each other but she's still my mother. I didn't want to break down, I wanted her to see her little girl all grown up becoming Queen. It was such a big thing.
Especially my father, I wished they were here I have no idea where they are or what they're doing. Haven't heard word about my mother in ages. I looked over at William, he was talking with another kid about his age. I was so devastated when he asked about Isaac. I remembered when my mother would sing me that one song all the time to me and it replayed in my head.
"I have to get some air."
I quickly got up and walked out of the grand hall. Tears were running down my face and I ran around a corner. I sobbed so much and tried to catch my breath breathing in and out. I couldn't do it but I couldn't give up.
Alban came around a corner and I gasped. I looked at him and my nose was all runny and tears was falling down my face. I sniffled many times as he started at me.
"I knew this wasn't right, we're leaving right now-
"It's not the ceremony Alban, it's- it's..." I tried to cat h my breath.
"William he just reminds me of my father and just my whole family. Alban I can't do this without them. I need my whole family here, but it's not possible because we're scttsrred all over the place."
"I know how you feel Helena and I'm so sorry. Look at me. William and me are here, we are your family alright. One day you'll see your mother again and your father. And I promise you we will find Isaac okay?"
"What if my mothers dead huh? The worst part is I have a mother I hate, but your mother... you love her so very much and she's dead. I don't want to feel that pain Alban. I don't."
"Your mother is strong Helena and so is your father.. your a Certie. Certies can survive for many many many years. If your ancestors can do it then so can your mother and your father, especially you. You are Queen now. and they're out there waiting for your Lena."
I wiped all my tears away and fixed myself up. Alban took my hand and walked me back to the Grand Hall. We sat back in our chairs. People drank and talked and some danced. One by one people came and brought gifts.
The first man came, he gifted a very fine necklace with fine jewels, it felt so very real.
A woman came, tried to give me a snake, I friend it down though.
Next a Man and his daughter. They gave me a bag full of dresses. "My dead wife's." He said. Then him and his daughter left. I was shocked but very grateful for the beautiful looking dresses.
Then a Woman came. She thanked me for being here and serving as queen in another language I never learned. I smiled at her.
After all the gifts it came to the last person. A man came with a luggage in his hands, I smiled at him and he placed it in front of me. I thought it'd be more clothes or food and wine tastings.
He opened the luggage for me. Jorah and other men approached the luggage. They had curious looks on their face. Trying to figure out what it is. I looked at them and went closer to the luggage as he opened it up.Three eggs were there. I giggled and smiled.
I looked up at Jorah. "What animal you think?" I said amused. I was so happy and excited. William stood up and came closer too, he smiled also.
"Dragon." Jorah said with a straight face.
I looked back at the eggs and my smile faded.
"They're dragon eggs." He repeated.
I chuckled and looked at the man.
"I thought they were extinct generations ago." William said.
"They're- they're real." I said. I smiled and looked back at Alban still sitting. The night went on and I just stared at the Dragon Eggs. I was gonna be a mother of three dragons.
"Your staring at it like they're going to hatch any moment." Alban said to me. I looked at him, "No I'm not."
"How are you gonna take care of three dragons once they've hatched."
"I'll treat them as if they're my children of course."
"And if they don't listen, you know how big they grow right?
"Yes I know how big they grow Alban. They will listen to me, dragons have a mind of their own to and they choose who they want to be obeyed by and who they don't." I said to him. I drank the rest of my wine.
William yawned and got up out of his seat.
"I think I'm gonna go to bed." William said.
"I'll come with you and head to be myself also." I stood up and took Williams hand and lead him out of the Grand Hall.I looked back at Alban walking down the steps, "goodnight Alban." He nodded his head and faked a smile.
